I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and I think my expectations were alittle to high. \r

I went in for take out and the first thing I noticed was The restaurant is very clean and orderly, see pic. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. \r

I had the Pollo a la Crolla, a side of tostones, and two beef empanadas. The chicken was pounded thin topped with a creole sauce served with a salad with house dressing, I think, and white rice.I also asked for some hot sauce because I wasn't sure how this creole sauce was and I like my food spicy. Everything was packaged up within 15 minutes and I was gone. \r

I went straight home and opened up the container. It smelled real good, but I didn't like that they put the salad in the same container as the hot food. The salad was warm and honestly it sucked. The chicken was tasty, but not as good a LaGranja. Nothing really stood out about the sauce or the chicken. The sauce was mild and I'm glad I got the hot sauce. The rice was ok and it came with some fried yuca. The yuca was very good especially after I put some hot sauce on it. Some of the tostones were overcooked and to hard to eat. The bright spot were the empanadas. Nice crispy exterior with some flavorful ground beef packed inside. \r

Hmmmmm, mistake #1 I should have eaten the food there. I have to give them some slack for having take out because the food especially the salad would have tasted better. Also I could have returned the Tostones for some new ones if I stayed. I can't fully recommend this one right now. I'm going to have to go back and eat in house before I stick my rep on the line. Stay Hungry!
