Dr. Carolyn Wong Optometrist

Dr. Carolyn Wong has been examining my eyes for 6 years. She is up to date on the latest technology for contact lenses. I have had to wear glasses all my life for 40 years. I have a very bad astigmatism (1% of the worse cases), and she fit me w/ contacts that correct my astigmatism AND has bifocals around the edges of the contacts. So, now I can see far and read close up w/ out any glasses! This is the first time in 40 years I have not had to wear glasses! more

My whole family comes here. Dr. Wong has seen my kids since they were very little. She is very professional and friendly! more

I am a medical student. I had the best exam ever today. Dr. Wong has an instrument called optomap. It is a camera that takes a picture up to 200 degrees without dialation. She found a tint hole in my retina. I am so impressed by Dr. Wong, she is very good at what she does. more

Dr. Wong is a warm,wonderful and excellent doctor. She has high tech equipment that is state of the art. She does everything an ophthalmologist does and more. She has a incredible selection of glasses and very reasonable more

This the best optometrist I have ever been to. I was fitted for soft bifocal contact lenses that were very comfortable and clear at near and far. Dr. Wong recommended more

AVOID THESE OPTOMETRISTS AT ALL COSTS!! I kept wondering why the Wongs were giving me mediocre vision at best, and never really seemed concerned when I wanted better--as if I and my attitude were the problem...! Neither the contacts nor eyeglasse were great; spot on vision eluded me when I went to the Wongs... In search of better vision, I went to a OD in the South Bay with good recomendations, and he was great! My vision was suddenly EXCELLENT with both contacts and eyeglasses! He looked at my prescriptions from the Wongs and showed me how far off they were. Dear Jesus, I would love to get my money back from the office of the Wongs, What a rip-off! If you want good vision, and concerened doctors--avoid this office in West LA at all costs! YOU CAN FIND MUCH, MUCH better! Pros: NONE! Cons: Terrible Prescriptions! Expensive! more

After my third attempt, I've decided to take my eyes elsewhere. Instead of asking if I needed any help, one of the receptionists chose to stalk me through out the store. I felt more like a nuisance than a customer. More frustrating is that my last 3 copays have never been consistent. The final strike is that they don't warn you if your insurance will cover a procedure or not which seems inconsiderate considering my other health providers do. It was a total shock to me to receive a bill when the price was never mentioned beforehand. It's a shame considering the actual eye exams seem thorough and the optomertrists are pleasant. more
