Dominick's is a gem, an absolutely gem on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. First of all, go to Dominick's hungry. As you will be eating a lot over the next few hours. Also, it is important you know the following items before you go to Dominick's. First, there are no menus, the server will let you know what is being prepared that night. Second, there are no checks and they only take cash. Your server will let you know your bill. Third, you may be seated at a large table with other people. Be friendly.
Any of their antipasto dishes are outstanding. My favorite is the fried calamari and stuffed artichokes. Their Dominick's house salad is loaded with meats, cheese, and the freshest vegetables. I would definitely share this salad with others. My Dad loves their pork chops. You can't go wrong with anything you select at Dominick's, their pastas are fabulous. It is truly the epitome of Italian family style eating. This is one of the only restaurants in NY that is worth waiting for a table.
