Dog Show

I've been taking my dog, and my Humane Society of Utah foster dogs, to The Dog Show for years. They always know who I am and love my Snoodle Buddy. He's on his best behavior while there - he looks and smells wonderful after he's clean and clipped. The shop is convenient, with easy parking, fun and inviting, the groomers friendly and helpful. \r I recommend The Dog Show! more

I take my 7 pound Pom/Yorkie here whenever he needs all the fixins done... They always do whatever I need done and I have never had any issues. It is a little more than I would like to pay, but I can't seem to go anywhere else because they always take such good care of Tucker. Thanks Dog Show! :) more

My dog is a Blue Heeler Australian Shepherd mix. The folks at Dog Show do an excellent job of getting her clean and dry (and brushing her teeth and grinding her claws). They are friendly and professional. Their attitude is great and their shop is inviting. I highly recommend Dog Show. more

I have been a customer for years, I have 2 shih tzus that need grooming every 8 weeks or so. The staff is great, and my dogs always look and smell so clean after a cut. The location is perfect and easy to get to. They have a flexible schedule and are wonderful to work with. I highly recommend The Dog Show. more

I have been taking my collie/border collie, Happy, to The Dog Show for almost a year now. We always receives a very warm welcome. His groomer, Stephanie, does a fantastic job and always accommodates any special request we may have. Also if I'm running late from work it is never a problem for them to keep Happy a little longer. I have been a customer of the Dog Show for a long time. I have never had anything but positive experiences there. The people are great with dogs and over the course of two dogs, I have never seen a nick or a scratch on either of them.. Their hair always looks great, and they smell so good. Lately they have instituted a system where you make an appointment and the dog is only there for the duration of the work they are doing. This is really nice because the dog doesn't have to sit in a kennel all day long. I would highly recommend this groomer for your dog or cat. more

I took my very old dog for a haircut today and was very pleased with the kindness and the professional haircut he received. Nicki was amazingly flexible about the fact that he cannot stand long enough to be on a grooming table and she sat on the floor with him! She even tolerated my being there to help hold him and keep him from getting anxious with the length of time it took (because he cannot stay in 1 position for long due to muscle spasms etc.)\r I will recommend this business without reservation to friends and colleagues. more

We have taken both our cat and dogs here for grooming! One of our favorite things about this place is their ability to do the lions cut on our long haired cat. She stays cool in the summer and doesn't shed with it. They love the animals, they are timely and very professional. They work hard to fit our animals in when needed which is so helpful and convenient. more

I have a golden doodle with a lot of grooming needs. Shelby and the staff at The Dog Show have done a great job bathing, brushing and grooming my dog. They are willing to modify grooming as desired anytime. They teach dog owners how to take care of their dogs in between grooming appointments as well. The staff love and care for dogs. They are also very competitively priced with larger companies. I recommend them without hesitation. more

We took our dog here for about 4 years with decent service and quality. However, that quality slowly diminished and is now to the point of being so inferior our vet has told us it may be dangerous to our dog's health to continue getting him groomed with such shoddy work. \r \r He has come back with nicks and cuts to his skin, and he will flinch when we reach down to pet him for several weeks after getting groomed (very out of character). \r \r I had recommended this place to a friend, who drove 35 minutes each way to drop her dog off here. One day she was less than 10 minutes late (I was there to verify this story) and they refused to take her dog, so she had to turn around and drive 35+ minutes back home without service. While it was not their fault she was late, it also couldn't have been prevented or predicted (traffic). And they never called to ask if she was still coming or to warn her they wouldn't be able to take her dog. They waited for her to arrive and rather than saying, ""Oh, sorry, we don't have the time and resources anymore."" The heavy-set tattooed lady who works there said, ""We're not grooming your dog. You're late. Try being more responsible next time."" I felt horrible having been the one to refer her to this place with high reviews. \r \r My dog has suffered several ear infections post-grooming, and the vet suspects based on the sores and bleeding to the ear it was due to the way she was groomed and the lack of cleanliness of the tools they used. We've had to treat my dogs inner ears with creams to rid the infections and reduce the sores after the past three times we've gone here. Needless to say, the honeymoon is over and I'll be looking around for a new groomer. This place has gone to the bad dogs... more

Love this place. Most importantly, I know my dog is always treated well because she's quite fearful usually but is always excited to arrive. And she always looks, smells and feels fantastic. Always a fun little place to swing into since it's nestled in the cute 15th & 15th area of Sugarhouse. more

They Killed my dog! Do NOT take your animals here. We took our 15 week old puppy there, explained to them multiple times to feed watch her and be quick. Dropped her off at 8:45am. They called us at 11:15 asking how to groom our other dog. Then I called at 2pm wondering why my dogs were not ready as i clearly instructed to be quick with our puppy. When they answered a lady said hold on. The owner got on the phone and told me that ""the darndest thing the puppy just passed away."" Both my and my husband rushed to the groomers. Took the puppy immediately to Logan, UT to have her autopsy taken on her. She died of a brain trauma. It gets worst. Later speaking with the owner he told me that he got a call in his other shop the the dog died then got in his car and took a 25 minute drive to his other location. During this time NO ONE called us or a vet. Even worse I called them at 2pm. They never called us. We don't know when she died or how long our other dog was with her while she was dead. Which has effected him. more

I've been taking my dog here for over 10 years. They are professional and very caring. My dog likes to be boarded here. The cat groomer is great, too. Wonderful neighborhood business.-Jackie more

We find The Dog Show to be personable aand professional. I have a hard time believing some of these negative reviews. I've been taking my miniature schnauzer here to be groomed every 8 weeks for almost a year now, and I've had very good experiences. My dog always looks fantastic when I pick her up... very clean with a good, even haircut. They even get the mats out of her fur, which can be tricky to remove. My dog is obviously excited to see me when I pick her up, but she doesn't act scared at all. The shop is set up in such a way that you can see the entire grooming area and the kennels from the register. It always looks clean back there to me. The groomers are friendly and competent and seem to really love my dog. My only complaint is small--the time it takes to groom my dog has varied a lot from visit to visit, so it's impossible to know when I'll need to go pick her up. But I do understand it really depends on what other dogs happen to be there that day and how long they take to groom. Now I just plan on keeping my whole morning free on grooming days. I would definitely recommend this business to others. more
