Great team to have on your side 8/1/2017

Attorneys and associates at DAA were patient, kind, and knowledgeable when working with me on my case. I previously had applied on my own and was denied several years ago - the experience was frustrating and time-consuming.\r \r DAA helped me to eliminate a lot of the red-tape and questions I had about the process. They were there with me for every step. Instead of having to look up or readily know all of the answers, I had a group of professionals I could go to for those answers and that reassurance.\r \r If asked by any friend or family member, I would recommend they use DAA. more

My Disability Claim 12/12/2015

I'm Glad I went with DAA\r \r Odd how different people have different experiences. Let me simply say that I tried to get SS Disability on my own the first time in April 2014. I had been told by many that I would automatically be declined and as predicted and I was later in 2014. \r After this, I realized that "the machine" was much bigger than I am and so couldn't fight my claim for SSA Disability by myself. I hired DAA to represent me on a "new" claim with pretty much the same exact information from my first claim in March 2015. \r My claim was accepted through DAA's firm and am now on SSA Disability as of March 2015. I received my first Benefit Direct Deposit in November 2015. I am still waiting for the payments that are backdated to last March and DAA is trying to see when this will happen on my behalf. \r For those of you that seem to be having problems with your claim, my experience tells me that the problem isn't DAA, it is with SSA and the nature of your claim. I always did my own du more

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/11/2013

WOW I have never seen such poor service from a business. I just got rudely interrupted by the supervisor in the Reno office who wouldn't help me because my case is handled out of Las Vegas, my case worker Chelsea in the las vegas office actually hung up on me once. I have been with these incompetent people for almost a year now. I have had 3 neck surgeries, have multiple herniated discs in my back and constant shoulder scapula pain. I have had this condition for most of my life and been denied disability 3 times (yes I said 3) . They keep telling me that my case (only because I call them they NEVER call me) is in appeals concule. Meanwhile I am having to eat so I try to work jobs but this is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard of DO NOT CONTACT this firm only if you like a good joke. All they can do is take a message pretty much. more

THANK YOU THANK YOU 12/7/2011

I started out very sceptical about having a representative thinking I could do it my self and was soon sinking in a see of paperwork I didn't know how to fill out. Scared of getting denied for not knowing how to complete everything properly I seeked representation and I am so glad I did. Disability Action Advocates had me feeling comfortable instantly with my case they to charge and did every single thing that needed to be done all I had to do is sit back and answer a few questions and they did the rest. I heard a lot of horror stories about this process and was about to experience one until I hired Disability Action Advocates the rest was down hill and I didn't have to wait 2 years like everone told me. Thanks again for making my life stable again and for the great customer service! more

Worst Place Ever 5/19/2011

This place is a joke and I would not recommend it to anyone. If you want to wait two years before you possibly get awarded than this is the place for you. If you can follow instruction I suggest going to ssa.gov and file your own paperwork. You'll actually know whats going on with your case and you wont have this company taking your money for such an easy process. more

I used disabiltiy advocates who helped my spouse ( sadly now deceased) and I have to say that I would recommend these people to anyone thinking about filing. Yolanda answered questions that the social security couldnt even answer. I have referred friends and family over the years and they all had great experiences. go to someone who knows what they are doing - it is well worth it. more

No Idea what that lady is talking about 5/19/2010

Disability Action Advocates is probably the best customer service you can get! My wife had issues getting onto her disabilities, everything was just frustrating. Then we decided to find a represenative that can help us out and everything went up hill from there. They did all of our paper work, lots of paper work by the way. They got all of our medical records for us which is excellent, I wouldn't know where to start. And we even had a an attorney to go to my wife's disability court date which he won. Everything work out just like they said, it took some time- but that's with every case, you just have to be patient and they'll get the job done.\r \r It's a tough process but if you have someone like Disability Action Advocates, they really do make everything easier for you. \r \r I don't know what that lady is talking about Yolanda??? She's great. She knows how Social Security work inside out. \r Honestly if you want to get your disability benefits, call them. you won't regret it!! Pros: Yolanda's great, they got us our benefits Cons: it's takes time but that's with all disability cases more

HORRIBLE! TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE DISABLED 5/18/2010

My daughter was approved for SSD in November. They did get her approved. However, Yoland Jorges was horrible. My daughter had an issue come up with SSD and back SSI. She told her ""piece of cake"" to take care of. Yolanda doesn't respond to phone calls, is rude, uses the excuse of SSI being slow when you do get her on the phone. 7 months later this ""piece of cake"" issue still went unresolved. When I asked for a hearing-told ""it just takes time"" I called SSI - I had a right to a hearing 5 months ago. She lost paperwork, hung up on me once when I questioned her and I feel like they basically were paid $2,300 to fill out an application. If you care requires any complex issues forget about using them. Use someone who cares. You never get to speak with an attorney and Yolanda, and her staff, can't be bothered with you after they get their money. My daughter has a mental disability and I finally had to get involved because I feel they took advantage of her mental state and didn't do anything they said they would., Made her feel like she was being impatient. Really they were not doing their job. Reporting them to SSI for abuse and requesting our funds back from them. They'll tell you what you want to hear when you sign up and then take you app fee but not your calls! Pros: Fills out applications Cons: Yolanda Jorges is Horrible more
