Dillard's

HORRIBLE!!! They promised me 10% discount if I signed up for Dillards card. They said I would have to see the lady who sold me the clothing and she never was there any of the nights I wanted to go there. So I call on Friday night and an employee says she is working. I come there and they say she is not working and I am mistaken. I get angry after all the run around I have been having and tell them I won't shop there anymore. Then, one of the girls who works there starts insulting me like a junior high school student, mocking me and imitating me. Ummm.. You do work at a men's clothing store, you should act like a mature adult, especially around a customer who has spent a lot of money!!! I spent almost $1000 in one purchase there and this is how I am treated????? The manager seemed not to know how to deal with the situation. I was also a bit shocked that the manager comes to me dressed in a hoody and jeans and not in a suit or more professional attire. Considering he is a manager of an upscale clothing store in the mall, I would expect more. I ended up getting the 10% discount (minus sales tax), but I feel it should have been more for all the crap they put me through. NEVER AGAIN!! Don't shop at this store... Please.. I hope a store that respects the value of loyal customers will come into Boise. I will shop at Men's Wearhouse, Macys and any other place, not Dillards! I really miss Nordstorms and The Rack I had in Portland! I will file a complaint against the employee who harassed me to the top level of Dillards if I can.. I will be closing my Dillards credit card and never shop here again!! Please do not support a store that treats their customers like dog stuff. Does Dillards care about its customers??? more

I went to the dillards counter to find a good moisturizer and the lady was so greedy that she didn't pay attention to my needs she just wanted to sell me lots of stuff! I bought a moisturizer hoping it will work but I got an allergic reaction and went back to return it but the lady was so so rude and mad that I was returning the product! This was my last time shopping @ dillards and I'm switching to macys who value their customers more than money! Dillards have lost their customer service because of greed!! more

So in all fairness, I had to update this review. Below are my previous comments. I called Dillards the following weekend and gave the sales clerk the same information (about the missing free item) and she set the item aside for me, with my name on it, and told me to come by and pick it up when it was convenient to me. I didn't need my receipt or any proof of purchase. I guess it just depends on which clerk you happen to deal with, and 2nd time was a charm. Pros: Good customer service if you get the right person Cons: Bad customer service if you don't get the right person more

WOW- Dillards has been a staple in Boise for some time now, I'm sorry to say that they rarely see any of my money. Items are usually over priced unless they are on a really good sale. The merchandise is often out of order, and the sales clerks seem to often understaffed. I suppose for Boise, Dillards would have to be towards the top of the pile for clothiers- still though, I think with some searching you'd find better deals elsewhere. more
