I used to really hate going to the dentist. Having lots of bad experiences with the dentists, I developed quite the anxiety when it came to anything teeth. However, that changed with Dent Plus Dental. The friendly, professional staff at Dent Plus goes the extra mile to put its patients at ease. The dentists, dental assistants and dental hygienists each take the time to address any questions and/or concerns with respect and expertise. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. Dent Plus Dental also offers a wide variety of interest-free payment plans for more expensive procedures. To boot, everything from booking an appointment to checking out is simple and hassle-free. I've been very impressed with the dental work and service I've received from Dent Plus, and I would recommend them to anyone. more

These guys are by far the best dental place I have ever been to. The staff is very friendly and accommodating but the one thing that impressed me the most was the first time I came in. I had a lot of pain in my wisdom teeth and needed 2 extractions done immediately. They were flexible enough to have both done on the same day along with a cleaning ! Also they were really calm and professional about it. more

I had not been to the dentist in years. I was so horrified before my appointment. I felt like I was a child again. When I got there I was welcomed warmly and made feel so comfortable. I was seen right away. The dental assistant was friendly and informative. I will come back again! more

My dad was a dentist, so I have very high standards, and I was very pleased with. Did a good job, and is a nice, friendly person as well. Couldn't ask for more in a dentist! more

Unfortunately, cannot recommend this dentist. Tried him a couple of times because it was convenient in downtown Providence. First experience a while ago (checkup, cleaning) was OK but not outstanding, and fees seemed higher that average. Went back again (there's that convenience factor) and service was not good second time around. The cleaning seemed superficial. Staff was impersonal, mechanical and uncaring. Cost definitely seemed much above average for a routine visit and even though insurance covered most all of it except for deductible and co-pay, they insisted on being paid anyway (so much for being a participating provider), with the result being an overpayment (confirmed with the insurance company) to them which they haven't refunded. Something else to consider is their policy to charge a cancellation fee unless they get at least 24 hours notice before the cancellation of a scheduled appointment. In early 2008 the NY Times ran an article critical of the many dentists who treat their work primarily as a business and not as medical care medical professionals and providers; it could have been a description of Dent Plus. Pros: Convenient if in downtown Providence Cons: Impersonal, mechanical, uncaring; dentristy as a business. more
