Used to be better 7/10/2010

Delmo was sold a couple of years ago and the new owner(s) and the help don't seem quite as customer oriented as the former owners and help. Another drawback here for those coming by car is parking. The entire block in front of Delmo is now an extended bus stop and the traffic enforcement is ruthless. If you hop into the store for 30 seconds to grab a gallon, you run a real risk of getting a ticket. Worse, even if you're in your car loading up you risk a ticket. At some stores, they have someone watching out for traffic gestapo. here they don't seem to give a hoot if you get a ticket or not. In short, it's a well supplied paint store but it used to be a more pleasant place to stock up. Pros: A real paint store Cons: Service & Attitude & Parking more

Best Paint Store on UES! 11/3/2008

I was struggling to get smooth paintwork with a primer I had been advised to use at Home Depot (Zinsser Cover Stain) and I went here for advice. The guys here are experts in all aspects of painting and they recommended Ben Moore Alkyd Fresh Start Primer and a Purdey Brush and the results are amazing. Their prices are also very good and much cheaper than your average hardware store. Pros: Have every paint product you can think of at great prices. Cons: Don't stock all brands such as Pratt & Lambert. more
