Best

Dinner is always fantastic at Daniel's, and of the 3, I love this one for the feel it has...it is like an enclave in this sort of forgotten Seattle neighborhood of Leschi. My wif...

Worst

Unbelievable! A very expensive steak house where the chef was not even close in correctly cooking our steaks! Three of us ordered medium rare (the menu specifically describes th...

big dissapointment 6/21/2003

I went to Daniels on Lake Washington to treat a friend to a birthday dinner. The view was great. At the start we told our server we would have drinks and an appetizer, and to hold our dinner order. He brought the dinner entrees during our first round of drinks before our salads. When i told him we weren't ready for them, he said "Oh I'll just keep em warm for u. Just what I wanted, stale food kept warm for $100 a person. He never brought the wine i ordered and basically provided the worst service i have had in any restaurant in memory. The food was average. I told the host of our problems he just shrugged. A long letter to corporate was un answered. I will never go back and have told everyone of my experience. Pros: view Cons: worst service, average food, no one cares more

Thumps up 2/23/2003

Best filet mignon I've had. My friends and I ordered every dessert and passed it around. They were all good but the chocolate cake was the winner! Service was great too. It was at night so we couldn't really appreciate the view of the water but overall we were all pleased and very full. Price was reasonable to this level of dining. Pros: Good filet mignon, Good desserts, Good dinner ambience Cons: Can't think of any more

Totally disagree 2/6/2003

Wow, I can't believe they came in second. I wouldn't even go back for seconds. I've been to Daniel's once and was not impressed. Their steak wasn't the best, nor was the rest of the meal. The service and everything else was OK, but if the steaks not great, what's the point in going to a steakhouse. more

Super Delish! 1/13/2003

They absolutley have the best steak in town! The service could be helped......A LOT! I have been going there for years and it used to be a much better place to dine than it is now, but thank goodness for that delicious steak! If if were left to the service, they'd surely be out of business! more

Really bad! 1/13/2003

Four of us went to dinner at the Bellevue location. One of the people said the last time they ate at Daniel's they over cooked the steak but was willing to try it again. Two had Filet Mignon. They were both burnt on the outside. I ordered the salmon. I could only eat a few bites of the salmon...it was nasty. Very, very fishy. The worst piece of fish I've ever eaten...seriously. I told them that it was a bad piece of fish because I didn't want them to serve it to anyone else. No one else spoke up. Either way, that was our last dining experience at Daniel's. more

Daniel is a Good Friend 1/3/2003

Have a drink at the Met if you must, some like old brick buildings. If you don't want to eat a brick, go to Daniel's. Daniel's Broiler has never failed to offer a world class Steak experience. When ever I'm in need of a good steak house for guests or clients, I go to Daniel's and know I will get the best in town. The view, staff, surroundings and of course the food are all tops in the city. It's like being in Chicago with a great view! Keep up the good work Daniel's Broiler. more

tandelizing experience 12/29/2002

In my opinion the steaks here are the best I've ever had. It is definitely better than Ruth Chris, and is up there with Jak's. They gave the best service I've had in a long while with a comfy private booth away from the crowd of people. Very romantic atmosphere and I love the selection. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good steak. Pros: service Cons: parking more

Absolutely Wonderful 12/7/2002

We had Thanksgiving Lunch at Daniel's. They had a four course set menu consisting of either Roast Beef, Turkey, Pork Loin or Salmon. We had Roast Beef figuring that all the courses cost the same, why not go for the most expensive one in the supermarket. The food was wonderful and with a corner table near the window and fireplace, the view of Lake Union was a touch of San Francisco. Pros: valet parking, location and view, very romantic Cons: pickle relish dish, pickles love or hate more
