For me and my wifes anniversary i decided to get her a package from Delegance. I was confused on what type of package to get her but the lovely receptionist was eager to help me! ...

After reading such mixed reviews, I decided to risk this spa for myself. I wish i hadn't. I went in for a facial and pedicure. I was left in the waiting area for about 25 minutes,...

THE WORST 12/31/2007

Shir the owner of this so called spa is the rudest man i have ever encountered. I called before closing regarding an appointment and the first thing i was asked when i gave my name was if i had a gift card, i said yes... well he refused to make the appoinment without the gift card number- understandable. i called with in 15 min and asked if that appointment was available and he said yes (he chuckles) but we are closed- that was at 6:46 pm, when the close at 7pm. i called again the next day at 10:04 since they open at 10 and the owner answered again and said the appointment was taken YESTERDAY! He became very rude and claimed he was booked solid until January 5th, well my mother called shortly after and a woman answered and said they had plenty of available appointments. i was outraged and e-mailed the owner- no response. he is unproffessional an rude. since he already has our money he doesnt care. Cons: the worst spa in town more

Owners of Salon r TERRIBLE!!!! 11/12/2007

BEWARE!!! how these people are in business, I cannot comprehend! Sher and Fahima are extremely rude. Some friends and I went to enjoy a massage and pedicure. After our massage they had us wait close to an hour. Then they finally told us that they ready to give us a manicure and pedicure. We told them we only wanted a pedicure. Sher said no...they had booked us for a mani & pedi. We told them we were pressed for time.. we would agree to pay for a mani&pedi and just come back another day for the mani. Sher got belegerant...and said no..we Had to get both services...after we agreed to pay for a service we didn't want. I thought the whole idea of a spa is to accomodate the customers!! Never Returning. Pros: location Cons: owners more

Didn't want our business... 9/26/2007

I called to inquire about their availability to accommodate a group of five people for manicures and pedicures. The owner answered the phone and asked if we were interested in a weekday or Saturday. When I told him Saturday and then inquired about their availability on a certain day, he went on and on about how Saturday was one of their busiest days and that booking us would take away from their existing clientele. He flat out stated that unless we combine our manicure/pedicure with another service, he wasn't interested in booking us. No thanks, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. more

great, friendly place, & the people are so attentive 6/22/2007

This is a great place that can be enjoyed by all, they have such a relaxing enviornment that it makes you what to come back and get spa treats. The girls are all great, I really enjoy their services. I have been to Ulta on Fry Rd. and it sucked compared to this place. The facial was great, and so was the pedicure. I was so relaxed that my feet felt like the were jello. I highly recommed this place-- great job D'elegance. Pros: parking, attentive-ness, staff Cons: none-- everthing was great more

Been there a few times and very happy!! 5/24/2007

Been to D'elegance Salon & Day Spa a few times for massages and hair color and have to say that I have been treated great. I have read the negative posts here and find them are to believe...seems like they are ex-employees that are bitter or maybe a rival. Fay who does my color always gets it right and Angel gives the best massages. All I can say is that they have always done me right... Pros: Very clean, Great color service , Great Massage more

You must be kidding!!! 5/14/2007

First if you read the reviews the one labeled ""The Best"" was written by the owners Sher and Fahima. I would suggest if you are going to make false statements at least use a different name. As far as the Salon goes..They don't even compare to a below average day spa. The owners are rude and arrogant with some sort or preconcieved notion that people will put up with bad customer service. I will not be suprised if the doors of this establishment closes really soon. FYI..upon futher research I have found several complaints to the state about both locations and the owners due to lack of cleanliness and daily operations. I would not suggest this place to anyone at anytime. Pros: easy appointmants Cons: horrid service and owners more

Never on time! 5/5/2007

If you like waiting this is the place to go. Never an on time reservations. Expect to wait up to 1 hour. Bring good books and a lot of patience. Management is unprofessional and really does not care if their delays are inconveniencing anyone.\r \r Pros: Avereage Spa services Cons: Never, ever on time service more

HORRIBLE PLACE... HORRIBLE PEOPLE 4/2/2007

The owner of this company is the absolute worst human being I have ever met in my life. I had some issues with the services provided by his staff and tried to talk to him about it. He first tried to dismiss me and when that didn't work began yelling and using choice words with me. I thought this was extremely unprofessional and cannot believe that an OWNER would act this way in his own shop. If he has a partner in this venture I am sure they would not be too happy. The hair treatments I got were sub par (and that is being generous). I have had the same treatments many times and had absolutely no problems with them. I was hoping to find a nice salon in Katy to use but BELIEVE ME LADIES... IT IS WORTH DRIVING INTO HOUSTON IF D'ELEGANCE IS YOUR ONLY OPTION IN TOWN. The staff is uncordial, inept and grossly overestimates their own ability to cut and dye hair. The staff must taken a lesson on how to be completely useless and rude in order to get hired in this place. I will NEVER step foot on this property for two reasons... I cherish my hair too much to let these butchers anywhere near it and I value my self respect enough to ever let anyone talk to me as rudely as Sher Atigi did when I tried to discuss civily the issues I had with his services. He at one point told me that it is just hair and it will grow back. I find this amazing that this man's business (which is in the business of beautifying people's hair) would have such a nonchalant comment about something that is the core of their business. FINAL THOUGHTS: BEWARE GOING INTO THIS SALON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You WILL NOT come out the same person (or hair texture or color) that you were before or that you inteded to be. DRIVE FAR AWAY FROM HERE!!!!! D""ELEGANCE IS HORRIBLE ALL AROUND> A COMPLETE FAILURE IN MY BOOK. more

Great FACIAL in town! 3/25/2007

I was always having skin problem and tried so many treatments from dermatologists and medspa in Houston but did not help. I just moved to Katy area and got a refer from a co-worker who recommended me to see TIFFANY at D'elegance salon & Day spa. Great esthetician ! She is so knowledgable about skin care, also has great personality, very honest and professional. She recommended me chemical peel for acne treatment. So far I had 4 treatments from her and my acne has cleared up so much, I noticed a lot of brown spots on my cheeks also disappeared and my skin complexion looks better and brighter. I was first very nervous and a little frustated after 1st chemical peel and she was patient to explain to me how the chemical peel process works and tought me how maintain my skin after the treatments. I have learn a lot from her how to take care of my skin (especially having acne). I feel so relief and happier now. Thanks to my friend for the refer and A BIG thank to Tiffany for helping me so much. She made me feel so confident of myself and knowing exactly what to do to keep my skin healthy. Oh... got to tell you this too.... She has amazing hands to give you a very good stress relief massage at the end of the facial. What a bonus retreat ! It's awsome! For someone who doesn't have skin problem, it's also great to get yourself a treat to try out a deep pore cleansing facial from Tiffany, it's worth for your trip. I'm glad to find out she recommended me using the same skin care products that I have already bought from my dermatologist 6 months ago, they are medical graded products with very reasonable prices. She always remind me to make sure using some vitamin C serum and sunblock in the daytime to protect from enviromental and sun damage where my dermatologists never told me that. Tiffany made me feel so great after leaving her from the facial, she always MADE MY DAY..... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Pros: Convenient location, easy parking Cons: Unfriendly front desk more

Awesome Service - Great Staff 3/21/2007

I'd read the reviews on citysearch about D'Elegance in Katy - and to be honest, was scared to death. My normal hair color...once upon a time was brown. The last couple years, it's been red. I love it. Pale skin and green eyes - red hair works. But - in my opinion - it leaves ALOT of room for screwups. But - we are expecting a baby in July, and money is being spent on baby stuff - so I decided to use a gift certificate that a coworker had given me for my hair cut and color. I was GOING to use it for a massage or a pedicure after reading the reviews. But figured, worse case scenario, I'd be having them recolor it. \r \r I arrived - and was greeted by friendly staff.. Faysia or something was her name. She welcomed me and asked me to sit in their waiting room. A few minutes later, my stylist came - a very nice young lady - (going to butcher her name) - Jeanu. Blonde and mid to late 20's. She asked me what I wanted - explained the whole brown/red thing - and that the cut needed to be shortened. \r \r Fayima came and brought color swatches, and they determined what color I would need, and proceeded to color it. Did the roots first, and then the rest. My stylist offered me something to drink, and kept up a friendly conversation. She was helpful, and open - and I really enjoyed getting to know her. \r \r She rinsed my hair, and then proceeded to cut it. Without a doubt - she knew what she was doing. I asked her for her preferences - color or cutting - she said cutting - allows much more of the personality to show through. She did a fabulous job. She razor cut the front of my hair, which lets it blend wonderfully. \r \r My color cost me $75 and the hair cut & dry cost me $55. I had $100 gift certificate, it ended up costing me $30. It was WELL worth the money. \r \r The color is perfect - the cut is beautiful - it looks perfect with my skin tone - golden red honey - not a bit of it brassy. I'll go back again - next time on my dime alone. Pros: Parking, Friendly Staff, Got in quick Cons: Chairs are close together. more

Avoid at all cost! (unless you want to loose your hair!) 2/26/2007

Went to D'Elegance on February 24th to get my hair straightened. I spoke with Fahima (the hair stylist) and told her what I wanted. I received a $250.00 gift certificate for a Christmas gift and wanted to get my hair straightened and cut. After having the straightener applied, Fahima recommended that I have a ""moisturizing treatment"" applied to keep my hair from drying out. This treatment was an extra $55.00, but ""worth it"" because it would keep my hair soft after the straightening treatment was applied (It did not work, my hair feels like straw). I agreed and she coated my hair with the treatment. She then passed me off to another stylist to get my hair cut. There was so much stuff in my hair, that you could not even run a brush through it. When the other stylist began to cut it, it became apparent that my hair was not laying the way it should with all of the oil in it. I told her to stop cutting it because I did not think I could truly see how it was going to look until all of the product was washed out (which I was advised could not happen for 24 hours). I did not want her to cut it too short before then. I paid the bill $304.00 with tip and I left. I waited 24 hours, as I was instructed, and washed the ""moisturizing"" treatment out. To my horror I discovered that Fahima had BURNED MY HAIR OFF at the hair line around my face. My hair line is now 1/4 inch farther back than it was when I went in. I went by to show Fahima and the management and ask for a refund of my money. I was told they would give me a certificate to use their services. I refused because they had already burned my hair, scalp and forehead and butchered my hair. I told them I did not EVER want to use their salon again. The manager Sher then told me crassly that it ""is just hair it will grow back."" I now have to go get my hair cut off and if I am lucky it will be a little below my chin line. I am loosing 8-10 inches of hair. Icing on the cake - MY HAIR IS NOT EVEN COMPLETELY STRAIGHT! Still wavy Cons: Management is HORRIBLE!!!!!! more

A LIFE EXPIERENCE 2/12/2007

I have lived In houston all my life, been all over the city. I have never really expierenced what i expierenced at D'elegance Salon & Day Spa at any other Salon.. or should i say Day Spa. I made an appointment at the Katy,TX location off of Westgreen and I-10 with Angle on Feb. 7. I had the worst headache that day, my wife was upset with me and on top of everything my back was killing me, so I was looking forward to my massage. It was my first time walking into the Katy location and i was very impressed. The Salon had a very calm enviorment, the music playing was one of my favorite radio stations ""Sunny 99.1"", so i already had a good feeling about this place. The massage that Angle had performed on me was the Hot Rock Therapy Massage. She got every spot that needed to be worked on and at the end i didnt want to get up from the bed. It was worth it all and i appreciate everything I hope to come by again and get another massage by the lovely massage therapist Angle. TAKE CARE D'ELEGANCE!!! more

Great Services, Atmosphere, and Staff! 1/22/2007

For years I have been a regular in the Houston spa scene; but since my husband and I tried D'elegance, we became regulars. This spa is first class in ambiance and service. The massage and facials are out of this world; and the staff is committed to making customers feel welcomed and just great. P.S. - It is unfortunate that people take time to write malicious comments about this wonderful spa. It appears to me that it?s either someone who is angry at the world, or just an envious competitor. Too bad! Pros: Great Staff & Owners, Very attentive, Great Prices Cons: wish they would open another in the Woodlands!!! more

If u see positve reviews on here,I bet they were written by the staff and owners themselves. They're 2 unspecific 1/16/2007

I don't know how this salon made it on the top ten.I went to the Katy location. My experience was disappointing. The management is abrupt. The atmosphere is cold, unfriendly, and snooty. When I asked for help on what to do with my hair color, the owner offered none, repeatedly saying""whatever you want"" while she was busy applying someone else's hair color.I was looking for advice from ""experts"" which is what you should get when you spend $75 for single all over color. The only thing I specified was I didn't want brassiness.Nevertheless, we settled on a color. When it was rinsed out,my roots were much ligher than the rest of my hair, and they were an orangey,BRASSY,copper color.I pointed it out and the stylist said,""oh, it just looks that way because of the lighting"".They recommended a conditioning treatment bragging that it was done with a $250 bottle of conditioner, trying to make me feel I was getting a bargain paying $55 for a few teaspoons.Ya right! the owner said not to rinse it-that my hair was so unhealthy, the oils needed to soak in.So,I left with a wet, oily head and orange roots.I thought maybe once my hair was dry the color would blend.Um, no.My roots are still much lighter which easily could have been avoided had the colorist known even a little about what she was doing. She left the color on my virgin roots for way 2 long, and everyone knows virgin hair absorbs more color.Oh ya,initially I went in for hi-lights,but they talked me out of it despite insisting,""whatever you want"".They said my hair had too many colors already and that I would first need a single all over color. After the all over color, they said your hair is 2 unhealthy 4 highlights so u need the conditioning treatment.Honestly I think they were ready 2 leave for the day & figured the treatment was nearly the same price as hilights but would take less time.So they made out good. Not me, $140 later, I have a hair color I hate & a nagging feeling that I got screwed big time.Don't make the same mistake! Pros: none: any listed in reviews probably written by staff and owners themselves Cons: price, lack of hospitality and customer service, atmosphere, skill, rude management more

Terrible. Rude and Abusive... 12/21/2006

How do these guys stay in business? \r \r I bought my wife the deluxe ""simple serenity package? for mother?s day. She works hard and I?m trying to encourage her to find some time to pamper herself. \r \r Well she?s a busy person (as we all are) and it took her a few months to go back to D?Elegance to book an appointment. At that point the attendant pointed out that the certificate had expired. She was very courteous but insisted that my wife would have to speak to the manager. \r \r My wife called back to talk to the manager. And here?s where it gets strange: the guy was remarkably rude. He insisted that my wife actually hadn?t come by and spoken with someone, that she was lying. When my wife asked for his name he refused to give it. \r \r My wife called me in tears. So I called the spa and spoke to the guy. I tried to take the whole personal element out of the equation ? but he insisted on talking about my wife. This, as you can imagine, got to be a little annoying. I said ?sir, I?m not calling to talk about my wife, I?m calling to talk about redeeming the certificate that I purchased.? He flatly told me that he wasn?t going to redeem it and hung up on me. \r \r Well the whole thing was academic anyway. After the guy had my wife in tears on the first go-round I wasn?t actually going to send her there ? in my mind I?d actually written the whole thing off as a loss. But the remarkable thing was how a business that?s supposedly thrives on pampering and customer service can be so incredibly, remarkably rude. \r \r This wasn?t the experience I had in mind for my wife when I bought the certificate. \r \r A day spa is about pampering and word of mouth referrals. My wife asked me ""how can they do this?"" My response: they can do anything they want to....but don't expect them to stay in business. Ain't America grand. \r \r Conclusion: Terrible. This was the single worst customer experience I?ve ever had. Avoid at all cost. \r Pros: none observed Cons: Abusive, rude misogynist management (why do these guys choose to run a day spa?) more

Great facials 10/15/2006

The owners are very kind and always remember you when you come in. Tiffany has done wonders with my face through the reugalr facials I have recieved there. She is very knowledgeable. more

Please do not make the same mistake that I did... 8/13/2006

When I read other unfavorable reviews, I did not head the warning. When I would drive by the salon and notice it to be empty, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, as I thought it was a new location. I should have trusted my instincts and canceled my appointment. I could compile a list of everything that was inappropriate or disappointing about my time at D'Elegance but it comes down to this, do not go there if you value your money, your time, or, most of all, your personal opinions and feelings. While, to be fair, I did not leave there looking terrible, I did not walk out a remotely happy customer. In fact, I literally broke into tears when I saw what she had done. I was crudely dismissed by the stylist who pronounced it to be ""not that bad."" After three hours in the chair of the owner of the shop, who gushed about her experiance and expertise, my hair was not at all what I had asked or hoped for. Not only was the color completely different than we had discussed but she cut SIX inches off of my length. I had expressly asked her to keep it as long as possible. Adding insult to injury, she desperately grasped my shorn hair off the floor and thrusted it in my face calling it ""cotton."" She did this more than once in her attempt to justify why she ignored what I had asked. Probably the worst part of the ordeal was that in the end, despite my apparent and extreme displeasure with her work, she charged nearly three hundred dollars for my simple cut and color. Having just moved here from Philadelphia, where I left a fabulous stylist that I was with for nine years, I had hoped to find a new salon where I would become a valued customer. Clearly, D'Elegenace does not to care about repeat business. I would never ever recommend this establishment. \r \r A final note, I returned the following Monday to reason with them about the possibility of a refund and not only was I treated rudely but I was literally thrown out of the salon. Pros: Easy to get an appointment, the place is always empty! Cons: Terrible customer service, questionable skill level for certain staff members more

Avoid at all costs! 8/10/2006

I took my daughter for a ""girls day out"" away from her kids. We had the works, Full body massage, spa manicure & spa pedicure. Bottom line: Extremely disappointed. Massage was fine, but was billed as ""aromatherapy"" and the only aroma in the room was when the masseuse told us to take deep breaths of the lotion she had on her hands. No candles, soft music, or aroma to make the massage more enjoyable and relaxing. The REAL disappointment came with the manicure and pedicure. Each of us had a different manicurist (my daughter's was also her masseuse) and even though they were friendly, offered glasses of wine, they really did talk too much and their skills were minimal. I get manicures and pedicures regularly, every other week, and this has got to have been the absolute worst I have every experienced. Fingernails were ragged, nail polish on toenails was uneven and poorly done. It was obvious they didn't know what they were doing when they took an extraordinarily long amount of time to apply polish to toenails. I didn't complain right away because I didn't want to spoil my daughter's day; however, I did call & speak with the owner later in the day and he admitted he knew he had assigned his ""B"" team for our manicures/pedicures. I requested a refund, but he only offered 2 free massages. I don't ever want to go back there again, even for free services. I spent $390 + $50 tip and have never been so angry with myself for not speaking up before I paid for these services. Buyer be aware! If you are not happy, speak up before you pay!!!!!!!!! No one in customer service related industries wants to admit, much less refund, for poor service. It's disgusting! Pros: Nice new facility Cons: Poorly trained staff more

Best spa experience I've had in the country 6/23/2006

Everything about this spa has been amazing. The owners are friendly and spend time getting to know me and my needs. Everyone on staff is sweet, professional, and pleasant. They strive and accomplish to make sure that my experience couldn't be better. I'm doing the new decompression massage therapy and saw results after the first day! I keep seeing them and not only am I excited but so are the staff. They pay amazing attention to you and make you feel special. I'm getting a facial tomorrow and plan to make this my sole spa for all services. I love it and have been there 6 days in a row and get excited on my way there and leave the happiest I've been all day. Go there. It's worth it. Pros: Staff, environment, products Cons: not one more

nightmare 5/17/2006

it was a nightmare, the facilist would not stop chatting, the smell in the room was horrible, i had a pedicure and they cut my cuticle open and then the owner argued with me about the price. I tried to tell them i called both places and they told me i was overreacting. Unbelievible how people can put on a fake face. i will never return to the spa at the katy location. I hope nobody has an experience like i did. more
