No accountability 1/28/2016

This is the third time my grandson (of whom I have legal custody)has been at what is now called Longleaf Hospital. He was admitted on Monday; it is now Thursday and the only communication I have had from them was from the business office wanting money. I have tried calling but can't get through to anyone who knows anything. He has called me briefly, but I can't find out anything about his treatment plan. I have no input or say so about what us happening to him. He attempted suicide 3 times in the past 3 weeks and I am terrified they will discharge him too soon and he will be successful next time, but I can't get in touch with anyone to give them any input or get information. Two years ago he was there with a broken leg and the staff roughed him up more than once, slamming him into a wall. On another occasion he was there and they were going to release him even though they admitted he was still suicidal and possibly homicidal because he had stayed the maximum number of days. I had to fight to get him transferred to a long-term facility. There is no accountability and no concern about customer relations. When a teen is in crisis in Louisiana, they just get sent to the first facility that has a bed. Parents have no rights or input in the decision about where they go, there treatment plan, how long they stay, etc. The patient is just a number. more

Dont bing your child to Croosroad Hosp. 1/25/2010

My child has been at Cross Roads and i am very unsatisfied with the way they are treating my child. She was complaining of her stomache hurting the nurse told her to shut up and quit pretending. Then stated i dont know why your mom keeps bring her here. Then they refused to give her an extra grilled cheese but gave evryone else one. She stated to me they are very mean to her. Then the doctor never calls me. Also they stated to me she would see the doctor in the morning and when i spoke with her at 7 pm she stated she never saw the doctor. I spoke with the nurse and he confirmed that and stated they accidently past her up. Then went the next day to see the doctor and the board and the doctor said here is her paper i saw her it was missed filed and released her to me. I called to confirm the time family session was and went up there at the time the nurse told me and i missed it. Then they stated no one had told me that. Then i had a missed called from them and i called right back (with in 1 minute) they kept me on hold and could not tell me why they called.I called back and i was on hold for 10 minutes and the social worker was calling looking all over for me while i was on hold waiting for them to return to me on hold. They do not have there stuff together and they are making my child more mental by saying things they are saying to her. It is now 9:23 and waiting for the doctor to call which he was suppose to call between 8 and 9. And these are the people that are suppose to be caring for my child.....I am trying to relocate her!!!!! more
