Criterium Liszkay Engineers

We had an unique situation where we only wanted a structural engineer to look at certain parts of our basement to fulfill the requirements to sell our house. Don worked with us to include everything that we needed and was honest about how to proceed to get the most of out his services. Services were quick. Don came out within 24 hours of our initial contact and we received the full report the very next morning. Don worked with integrity, and displayed a great deal of knowledge about our 90 year old house. Next time we buy a house we will use Criterium-Liszkay Engineers to do the home inspection. They have that attention to detail that you want as well as the technical background to conduct a thorough, detailed analysis. Gave great customer service. more

I felt like the guy Criterium-Liszkay Engineers sent was well qualified for the job. He was some kind of submarine technician, so I felt like he knew his way around the hardware and structural issues. I also thought his bedside manner, for lack of a better term, was really good when he was talking to me and my wife throughout the process. I had him inspect a home i was buying. I was extremely happy with the professional engineer that Criterium-Liszkay Engineers sent out. I liked his reports and his pictures. The only downside to their service was that I thought their coordinating secretary person wasn't as sharp and on the ball as I would expect from an engineering group. She was a little disorganized. more

The engineer who came out to inspect our home did a great job and was very thorough. My husband was there while he came, and he explained everything as he went along. He looked in the attic, the insulation, and other things we wouldn't have thought of. He just really helped us get to know the house we were buying. more

Don does structural reports if I have clients that need it. He is very accommodating with my very time sensitive time frames and he has been very reliable these past 3 years. I would highly recommend him more

I had Don from Criterium-Liszkay Engineers inspect three buildings for me. These were pre-purchase inspections. The items he found were important. On the last building, he gave me an estimate based on square footage. When he got there, he assessed the situation. Realizing the work would not be as involved as he originally thought, he reduced the price without my even asking. more

They're thorough, they explain as they go along so they are teaching the client about their home. They tell not only what the condition is but how to maintain it in the future. They do not overstate problems, nor do they take them too lightly. Some inspectors almost need to show off their knowledge more. What I like a great deal about them is that they're nice people. Especially, Don is just a very good, nice, caring, unassuming, yet authoritative person. If I were choosing for my sons or my best friends I would call and set it up with Don. If some items need further explanation, either right at the time of the inspection or after, they are happy to do so, which is very comforting to the Realtor and to the client. I really prefer having them do the inspections because they are engineers and can comment on the structural integrity of the dwelling. more
