Okay, I admit it...I don't like change. I was really nervous when Dave retired, Annette semi-retired, and Cheryl moved out of state. Phew, my nerves were very quickly settled. Jonathan, Renee, and Sierra are all wonderfully nice, professional, and competent. Nancy, Ron, and Melinda did a super job of recruiting and training new employees. I guess my association will stay with CMA for at least another 15 years. :)\r \r P.S. This post is a result of needing to positively ""vent"". more

I highly recommend this company. Their response time is quicker than any other company I work with on my investment properties, and that is extremely important. They are easy to work with and very adaptable to a new board president's style. Wonderful! more

Carry out Duties 100% 8/7/2011

I am on the board of a number of condos and hoas in the area, and have experience with many management companies. Condo Management Alternative not only discovered thousands of dollars our previous company stole from one of these association, but they did so without any prompting from us. We had no idea what went on with the last company, but Ron noticed that something was fishy, and took it upon himself to do some forensic accounting and help us in the recovery of the funds. I read some reviews that mention ""rudeness"", and can only think that these guys have received violation letters they didn't like, or had an applicant denied. Nancy, Melinda, Annette, and Lori are all great at what they do, which sometimes involves handling some difficult issues that us board members are avoiding. As an avid e-bayer, I give C.M.A. A+++. more

the worst of the worst 6/9/2011

Being involved with more then 18 units through out broward county and dealings with lots of different Manangement companies this is the worst ever by far. Will not even respond to any complaints nor will they even drive by the units maybe 2 miles away and see how bad there work or lack of work looks and how it has gone way down since they took over. The people are the most rude people I have ever spoken to and makes it a very unpleasant to even call. Annette is the rudest person you will ever speak to for proof if you are considering them just drive down Royal Palm Blvd on the South side and look at their properties and call and just try to speak to some one at their office before you make a decision. more

Dear prospective CMA client: Greenglades IV has been with Condo Management Alternative since they started in business in 1986. Through the years both GGIV and CMA have grown in knowledge and attitudes, and in the case of CMA in size. Nancy and Ron Saathoff are true professionals - Ron, in all the years I have know him has NEVER made an error on the monthly financial reports, which are easy to read and understand, even for people with no accounting or financial experience. Nancy knows condo law, and in the rare instance where she is not sure, always suggests that the association's attorney is consulted for a legal opinion. The office staff is both talented and patient - and I'm quite sure every board member knows that residents don't call to say how great things are, only when they are displeased or have a problem do they phone. The girls are ALWAYS polite and patient, no matter how rude and nasty the caller is. Letters are sent in a timely manner. Contractors are followed up with. Bids are obtained from vendors as needed. The entire CMA staff is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that their associations are as safe, secure and neat as possible. Great Choice 11/10/2010

I was head of the ""find a management company"" committee and we almost didn't consider Condo Management Alternative because of some of the negative reviews, but decided to call their references anyway (our attorney threw their name out in conversation), and, boy, are we glad we did. We've been with them now for over 9 months and have no regrets. We'd been through other local management companies, and even tried self-management, and have never been more comfortable and satisfied. One of the better outcomes is that we have way less complaining unit owners at the meetings! Yea!! more

RUDE & unhelpful 3/30/2010

They have been the management company of our phase for at least 15 years and I have no idea why. Joining the board doesn't help unless you're the pres or one of the other higher ups. Every time I have called they have been rude and showing up in person is no better. The printed signs in the reception are shows proof of the attitude they hand out. Think Hard before you buy or rent a property managed by them 6/17/2009

I purchased a condo on royal palm blvd in coral springs a few years ago, this condo was originally managed by benchmark which did there job well, until our brillant president of the association, who does not live on the property made this change, I pressume. Now this management company does not do anything to correct common problems within a community, there is no cleanliness, there is vandalism and the structure of these buildings are falling apart. It does not matter how many letters you write its a waste of time. !!!! Beware !!!! Best Management Around 6/8/2009

This company was our management company for about 8 years, and then a new board member had a brilliant idea to ""make a change"" because ""change is good"". Not wanting to dampen her enthusiasm, the rest of the board went along with her and we went to another company that has been in Coral Springs for many, many years. Well, that was a change for the worse, so then the board decided that a newly formed company would be a good idea. Well, the change got even worse, so then the board decided to just have an accountant to do the books and they would do the property stuff, and that was WAY exciting!! P.S. After 11 months of change, change, change, we went back to CMA, and have had an additional 4 smooth years (and hopefully many more). I wanted to write this because a friend of mine, who is researching for a new company, came across some inaccurate, negative reviews for CMA. I strongly suggest that you disregard their dribble and pay attention to the 5 star ratings. If you have read this far, then let me give you some more advise......Bone Fish Grill is the best eatery in Coral Springs....yum!!! Pros: staff very knowledgable; owners very accessible and helpful Cons: stairs to office are a pain (literally) to climb!! more

I offer this company awards_One for letting my home in Coral Springs-Specifically, Royal Palm and Coral Ridge become a slumb. And, I offer them an award for insulting all the finer potential tenants. I should not need a gun for my protection just to walk to my car or a gas mask to protect my stomach from the smell of garbage. Pros: Annette and Tammy should win awards more

Wow, Who Would Have Known 10/20/2007

Who would have known that there is a condominium management company that actually does what they say they will? Not only that, but they do it well. My association has been through way too many management companies over the years, staying with them out of fear(?) of making a change. Our board president heard about this company and so we took another chance, and boy are we all glad that we did. Our meetings went from uncomfortable to almost fun. Our financial reports went from sketchy to accurate and on time. Have you ever seen one of their ""problem sheets""? They detail every call: who, what , where, when... They can answer any question you have about what is going on. We are very glad we made the change. We report things to them and they take care of them practically immediately (how refreshing). After only 6 months, we actually feel good about being board members and like that we can call the management office and get the information we need, when we need it. Actually, I don't know how they do it. It's amazing! This company, it's owners and staff get ""two thumbs up"" from a skeptical board member! Pros: Accurate and detailed service, from ""soup to nuts"" Cons: None, none, none more

Hello. Just thought I would take a moment to give CMA a richly earned rating. They have managed at my association since 1999. I have gone on and off the board during those years, and have always been very pleased with the service received. Their communication is tops, and creates an environment that leads to the least amount of owners dissatisfied because of lack of knowledge (they may still be dissatisfied, but at least they can always find out what is going on {smile}). Nancy and Ron are both very knowledgable and caring people, who take an enormous amount of pride in their business, thereby ensuring your satisfaction. So, if your association is managed by some of the usual suspects in our area, do yourself a favor and make the change to CMA. You won't be sorry (and I won't have written this review for nothing!!).
