Dr Greenberg is not what he seems 12/21/2010

I have been going to this hospital for about 5 yrs now and have had nothing but good experiences with Dr Bartlett. I consider myself to be a good client. I do what is reccommended and I take good care of my pets. I happen to have an emergency with one of my dogs and without thinking I immediately drove over to Columbia Animal Hospital since it was near 7am. I was greeted by a receptionist who was extremely concerned about my dog and told me that Dr Greenberg was there and she would get him. A few minutes later she returned to the exam room and explained that the dr could not see me and she gave me directions to PETS emergency clinic. My pet ended up dying in my lap on the way to PETS. I received a call from Dr Bartlett apologizing for what had happened. I did not blame Dr Bartlett because I know that he would have seen me had he been there that morning instead of Dr Greenberg. I also received flowers from the staff at the hospital and Dr Bartlett. I still take my pets to Columbia Anima more

No communication, extremely expensive. 4/15/2010

I took my two kittens there because they had signs of tapeworms. I was quoted a certain amount, which was completely off. The vet I saw was Dr. Greenberg. He barely spoke to me, and was kind of rough with my cats. He kind of made me feel like an idiot. The vet assistant who was with him, she was awesome. Petted my kitties and talked to them through eveything. They were both diagnosed with tapeworm, and had to have meds and needed rabies shots since they hadnt had them yet. The tapeworm meds did work, but I havent been back there with any of my pets because I feel that when you come to a vets office, and youre paying more than you make in 2 weeks to have your pets seen, the doctor should talk to you more than ""hi. whats wrong?"" they should explain everything and ask about other concerns, not run out and leave you there with two cats and a massive bill like, ""are we done or is he just getting something?"" Pros: Vet assistants very kind to pets, gives proper meds. Cons: Vet doesnt communicate with you, high prices more

Professional service 3/18/2008

Dr Frey is the vet that we usually see at Columbia. The staff is knowledgeable and very professional. I had to have a dog put down last month due to old age and illness and Dr Frey was very compassionate an caring as he performed the procedure. The group also sent a signed sympathy card as well as making a donation in my dog's name to a rescue organization in Washington state that does international work. Never had a vet hospital do that before.\r I have not problems with this group and I have been, and will continue to, take my pets to them for care.\r Pros: Friendly staff, caring vets. more

Kind and caring 1/8/2008

We have been going to this clinic since we moved to the area in 1999. We have seen more than 1 vet there and have received great treatment from them. Bret Greenburg is a standout person and vet. He has seen all our pets, and we feel that we have a personal relationship with him where he knows the dynamic of our family. Dr Frey was always available to answer questions and lend kind support during the recent loss of one of our pets. The technicians truly care about animals and your pets at this facility. I would recommend them to family and friends. more

The staff has a long way to go 11/25/2006

Dr. Bret GreenbergIs is an excellent vet and very caring person. I enjoyed bring my dog to him. The stall cannot find records nor follow any type of direction. Wait time can be up to 15 minutes to be acknowledged even when you are the only one in the office. Unfortunately, I had to go elsewhere. more
