I love the chips and dip here! So good, also good beer and location. There is a young crowd and and good music. Great view of downtown Columbus and GV is great! Pros: location, food Cons: crowded on weekend more

The Best 12/16/2008

Club 185 is the best when it comes to cheap food and drinks. When you go, you think you have walked into a high class club, but are quickly humbled by its simple interior and great service. I used to live within walking distance of the Club and went there at least once a week. All the drinks are great, martinis included. It is child friendly in there early hours, but get them out before 7 p.m. If your looking for great food, go for the bean dip at first. Then follow with any of there great sandwiches, the Daily D or the Meatloaf are great. Pros: Everything Cons: None more

Great happy hour bar! 3/5/2008

Great atmosphere, drinks, and friendly service! The dark wood combined with the modern decor adds to the atmosphere. Great mixed drinks and a wide selection of microbrews. I had lunch there a few times and I highly recommend the meatloaf sandwich. Overall a great bar! more

Waitress Pushed Me Aside 11/26/2007

I visit Columbus from Los Angeles and visited Club 185. Some frizzy-haired blond waitress just pushed me out of the way while I was standing at a table talking to a friend. If you guys are going to make it OK for your female help to barrel through the patrons, at least make sure they are hot. That is unacceptably rude. Pros: Location Cons: Rude Staff more

Lazy floor bartenders... 7/7/2007

Nice atmosphere, takes way too long to get a drink when you don't sit at the bar. The waitresses are ditzy and can't remember orders and when they mess up they act like it's your fault. There should be a hot body contest because they are hot, but they need to deliver drinks faster before i sober up. Pros: hot bartenders Cons: lazy bartenders more

Bad Service 4/18/2007

Their bartenders are horrible. I've had to wait 20 minutes to get any attention from a bartender. It wasn't a busy night. I've went back a few times, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. They haven't gotten any better. more

New to the neighborhood 11/30/2006

I recently moved to columbus. Uprooting myself from my apartment in NYC that I habitated for 7 years. Looking for a new bar to call mine, I ran across the Club 185. I went to the 185 for the first time this past Tuesday. I couldn't have felt more comfortable. The bartender & server made me feel right at home. Amazing cheeseburger! Loved the fresh cut fries! Relaxing and layed back. Oh yeah, nice stiff drinks too. Pros: stiff drinks, relaxing, service Cons: no happy hour specials more

That anyone could think that this bar has the best bartenders is unthinkable. Sure, they're cute. But they're also vapid and insubstantial. Oh, and they're horrible bartenders too. I shouldn't have to tell a bartender that a martini is made with gin or that there are bitters in a manhattan. My drink shouldn't be spilled all over while it's being served to me (unless it's exremely full). These bartenders just sat behind the bar giggling like 14 year-old girls and mixing creative and ghastly colored shots. Pros: Nice Decor, you can still hear live music. Cons: Bartenders, management, custormers who thought that being pretty = good service. more

better than ever 7/5/2006

I've been going to the club since I was a kid and my mom and dad would take me after work volleyball and softball games. They've lost the old pinball machines in the renovation, but the staff there is still down to earth and the bar food is still cheap and delicious-- my favorites are the burgers and fries and the fried bologna sandwich, though they've also added some newer menu items. Neighborhood bar that's cool enough to take my 20-something New York friends from college when they're in town. Pros: food, service Cons: small draught selection more

Best forever 10/15/2005

I was around way back when this bar was a softbal team hangout. my father would take me here after his games. The french fries and chicken fingers were a must. I continued to go to the bar as an adult and loved it. Even though it has changed ALOT, it is still a nice place to be and the food is awesome. It's nice that some of the old things are still there. But good that some things were remodeled like the ladies bathroom!!! Pros: friendly, social Cons: parking more

Club 185 is comfortable but trendy enough to be cool. The atmosphere is very friendly, as is the staff. The food is great - don't miss the black bean dip, and as a Texan addicted to margaritas, this is the best one I've found in Columbus! Pros: Good Drinks, Good Service, Good Crowd more

Can get crowed on Fri and Sat nights. The only bar in Columbus that makes you feel like you are at a trendy neighborhood Chicago bar. Great jukebox, even has a bold David Allen Coe song. more

The Joys of Drink 7/24/2003

After my first visit to Club 185 I was hooked. While it does get very noisy and crowded most nights, their isn't a better bar in the city to stop in for a bite (the specials are always good, the soups are out of this world tasty, and they stock a surprisingly diverse number of liquors and bottled beers). While they only have five draft beers available, among them is Guiness, Stella Artrois, and a rotating specialty beer from the Elevator Drafthaus (best microbrew in the city). Proud to be a regular 10/25/2002

My husband and I refer to Club 185 as ""Cheers"" because it truly has a welcoming atmosphere...and because we know all of the servers and bartenders by name. My only complaint is that the bar is difficult to keep warm in the winter time due to the very high ceilings...so don't forget your jacket.
