Excellent for Internet Service 11/26/2010

Clear is an excellent option for providing broadband Internet service at home or away from home. I'm using the home version of the Clear modem as I write this, and have been very happy with the quality of the service and extreme ease of setup?I used the mobile connection in several locations across the Las Vegas Valley, including an area in the farthest southeast corner. The signal was consistently strong, with speeds at 4 megabits per second and higher. I watched online video and uploaded pictures to photo sharing sites easily. more

My clear is slow as heck lol. You should not try this one because it will ruin your day. There is a tendency that you might lose your clients if you use this provider in your business. more

consistent all the way 11/18/2010

I only have had the clear internet service for a few days but I can tell you it is a great service. I live in Houston and the connection is good 5-7 Mbps down. I have been playing online gaming with PS3 and it is great even with heavy rain no disconnection or lag, very consistent all the way. more

i cant get more than one bar 11/7/2010

i ordered clear thru a local rep. what a rip-off...i bought the modem and the voip, niether worked i live in logan square in chicago. they said im smacked in the middle of 3 towers...literally 4 blocks east, west and north of me and i cant get more than one bar. the modem was always rebooting itself had the reps who sold me the service and they could not get anymore but one maybe 2 bars. i ordered it on the 17th of feb it is the 8th of march, and the rep took my modem and voip box and nothing has been return or credited to my account. their customer service is the worst than att. so please think twice maybe 3 times...this service suks....at this point i am going to see what legal actions i can take up with them and the local rep. more

great with Clear 11/3/2010

I was able to watch True Blood online last night since I don't have HBO at the new place. I'm just happy that I'm no longer with Comcast and my home internet is now faster than my cell phone!!! more

Be careful with clear 11/2/2010

Be careful with clear. I signed up for a month to month contract with clear when they first came to Atlanta (and got a special deal) and when I initially tried to cancel in the first 30 days (their service was great where it worked and horrible where it doesn't) they gave me discounts to stay. When I finally did give up and try to cancel, they told me I'd have to ""buy out my 2 year contract"". I didn't agree to a 2 year contract but that's what they changed me to and kept stating ""you agreed to a 2 year contract"". No I didn't. Then Clear used bully style tactics to try and extort money out of me that I am refusing to pay. If not resolved properly, I will file a State Attorney General complaint for deceptive practices. The rep also argued with me as to where their service works. Great tactic for someone already irritated at the service. Unless you're just using it at home, don't even bother. And if you're in your first 30 days, be careful. They'll try to use your 30 days to ""Get a technician out"". Then don't be surprised if you get a surprise 2 year contract that they want you to buy out. Lovely business practices. Their comment, ""you can't have it in writing, we're a paperless company"". The only thing they will send you is an email confirming your plan. Check it carefully. Bait and switch seems to be their tactic on your plan!!! more

I can tell they're fixing things because my service is cons 10/29/2010

I haven't found any other dead zones. Actually, I can see them fiddling with the service in the wee hours--my service goes in and out a little bit around 1/2. I can tell they're fixing things because my service is consistently getting faster. I consistently get 4 lights on the home modem now and last night I got 5. And that modem is 10 feet from a window. more
