I travel to Buffalo , Cleveland, Pittsburgh several times a year Found Chocolate Bar while in Buffalo and loved it. Booked my best friends bachlorette party at the chocolate bar. I did make the reservation for 10 people and 12 people showed up. Thank goodness for the hostess, she got us a table big enough for us. I was a little worried since this restaurant was very busy. The service was great freindly, attentive and very knowledge of all of the martini's, food and dessert. The menu has a lot to choose from. We will be booking more parties at the Chocolate Bar~~ more

ght friends wanted to have a spur of the moment fun lunch somewhere we had not been before. We all thought it would be alot of fun to go to Chocolate Bar ! Walked in and felt like we were in immedialte CHOCOLATE HEAVEN!! The colors/decorating were perfect to set the chocolate mood. Sat at the beautifully lit bar. The bartender was so friendly and had fun suggestions of what chocolate martinis to try. DELICIOUS!! The real chocolate shot glasses were a hit! Everyone's food was exceptional. Great choices! I luved my pasta with White Chocolate on it. Perfectlly sweetl I'll order it again! The owners Joe,Tammy and Dominic were there and we had alot of fun talking with them about their Chocolate endeavor and how great it is for Cleveland to have such a fun different place to ENJOY! My girl friends and I went out for girls night out in January. We had such a good time the Martini's were awesome. Most of us don't normally drink Martini's but we absolutely loved them. The food and the service was great we will definitely be back. more

I was really excited before going into this restaurant. We visited the Body Exhibit first and came over for dinner. Because chocolate was in the name, both my daughter and I decided to try their "signature" entrees. My daughter ordered the chocolate baguette and I ordered the chocolate pasta. After reading the description for the chocolate baguette, I tried to convince my daughter that she would not like it; a slice of chocolate, coarse sea salt on a baguette with dipping oil? Did not sound appetizing to me and my daughter soon found out that is was nasty and way too salty. They put a dab of chocolate and a whole lot of salt, I didn't even want to try it. My chocolate pasta was very good. The white chocolate sauce was subtle and lightly sweet, but very good. The portion sizes were not large, which was good for me, I don't eat a lot. The prices were very affordable. I did not try the martini's, my brain cannot calculate paying $10 for one drink. It makes no sense and I don't care. If someone else is paying then perhaps. The dessert, we got the chocolate brownie explosion. It was very good. Our server was either new or just plain dumb. She had no clue on recommendations and I asked what type of pasta, she couldn't name it and when my daughter asked about the prosciutto for the alfredo, she said it was something on a piece of bread. I had to explain to her(the waitress) what prosciutto was. They ran out of a number of items, crepes, belgian desserts and etc. Why not run to the store and make up a new batch? I'm confused. The ambiance was nice and they dining room was decorated ok. I believe that the restaurant has a good idea but very poorly executed. The one thing I appreciated was the price, very affordable. They need better training of wait staff and some help kitchen with shopping on the weekends. Dave's is down the street. Would I go back again? Probably. I have gone here three times with a few different groups of friends and I have received the same type of slow service that seemed to be put out by our coming to their restaurant. The only redeeming quality of this place was the inexpensive food and really good and strong martinis. Pros: Cheap food & strong drinks Cons: Ridiculously horrible service & pricey drinks more

I can't comment on the food because this place had no interest in serving us, but this is my review of the service. My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch, and there was no one at the front desk to seat us. There was no sign instructing guests to seat themselves or to wait to be seated, so after waiting for several minutes, we just sat ourselves. We were sitting for at least seven or eight minutes, and in that time, a few servers walked past our table numerous times without ever acknowledging that we were sitting there. I can understand if you're busy or understaffed, but you could at least say, "Hi, we'll bring you a menu in a few minutes." Also, the place was not busy at all. There were maybe six or seven tables occupied. After being ignored by the waitstaff for eight minutes or so, we got up to leave. As we were walking out, one of the servers said something like "Is there anything I can get you guys? Something from the bar?" She said it so quietly that I didn't even realize she was talking to us. When we didn't respond, she said, "Oh, no answer?" in a really snippy tone. When I realized she had been talking to us and was now insulting us in front of other guests, we continued to walk out the door. Never in my life have I been treated this badly at a restaurant; it is by far the most unwelcoming restaurant I've ever been to. To completely ignore customers and then publicly make fun of them as they're leaving is just insane.
