Making me beautiful again ;) 12/27/2011

Thanks so much for doing such a wonderful job with my color & cut just before Christmas. I would trust no other place to take such wonderful care of my hair. It seems no matter what, you always know just what I need & that change at the perfect time !! That is why I have been a customer for so many years. And I plan on keeping it that way. Not as great as usual 12/24/2011

I LOVE your salon everything about it however this time it was not as great as before. Granted I was a walk in on that day, my daughter had an appt so I asked if there was an opening for myself. I waited 15 after my scheduled time which was at 11 my daughter was 10;45 . I felt rushed and not as "special" as your staff has gone out of the way to do before. I was going to make an appt for full color and fool but aim rethinking this now. However I would still recommend this salon. Even at it's worst it is byfar still the best salon on the south shore by FAR ! more

Great dependable service 12/23/2011

Jill gives a great cut, is always friendly and warm. The little girl who washed my hair prior to the cut got me a great cup of coffee. The lady in waiting area with me was 1 1/2hrs early for her appointment by mistake and was relieved to have the 'found time' to relax at Charles David as David got her coffee and made sure she was comfortable. Thanks for providing a spot of peace and tranquility at this busy time of year. more

The Best Cut and Color!! 12/21/2011

I've been going to Charles David since moving to the south shore about 6 years ago...I have actually been stopped by strangers while out shopping and asked "where do you get your hair done?". What a compliment!! ... color courtesy of Buddy and haircut by Beth. Charles David is the best!! more

I came in Saturday morning to see Giovanna, and despite how busy the salon was she made me feel like I was the only client there! As a mom, a Saturday morning out is hard to come by, and when I can be pampered and be served coffee at the same time I am a happy lady. I LOVE my new color and can't wait to come back! more

Exceptional customer service 12/17/2011

I arrived at 4:30 on Thursday to my much needed appointment with Diane, my long time stylist, only to discover I was a day late!I I confirmed my email reminder but somehow with Christmas craziness, confused the dates. The lovely receptionist ( Nancy?) told me not to worry, she would see what she could come up with. Calmly, quietly and professionally she quickly determined that Michelle had a cancellation and after a quick consult with Diane she could highlight and cut my hair. AND SHE DID. Michelle, like Diane, is a delight! Lovely, warm, engaging and very , very professional she did a fabulous job. She was very meticulous, listened to my concerns and I'm thrilled. Thank you to all for accommodating me so graciously after my scheduling mistake. Charles David is a first rate operation and I will continue to highly recommend your salon. My sincere thanks. I wish I could say my experience was as great as my first.... At my first appt on 10/27 I asked the desk for my colorists prices for 1/2, 3/4, and full head foils. I explained how frustrated I would feel at other salons always getting the same service and being charged something different upon checking out and it was always higher never less! So upon checking out on 12/15 I was disappointed when I was asked to pay a price that was not quoted to me. This is where it got uncomfortable for me and why I gave only 3 stars. I felt I had to explain myself and remind the receptionist of our conversation we had, with other clients behind me checking out. She was unaware that my colorist had a price increase and had to go ask the colorist. Now making it more uncomfortable for me. I was made to feel as if I was complaining about what I was being charged. My suggestion would be to notify the clients if their stylist/colorist had an increase in their prices via email text or mail. At the end my colorist advised her to charge me what I was quoted but I still left not feeling good about how it played out. more

As always, everyone at Charles David is friendly and helpful. Danielle knows my hair and always does a great job. She also has the special touch of remembering what is happening in my life and always asks about how things are going. And then of course is that great coffee. It's always a relaxing experience. more
