Car Trends

I was referred to CarTrends to work on my Lexus Radio. They said that they could work in it and took it in for them to repair. I was told that the fee would be $45 to $85 to remove and bench test radio to see if the problem was in the car or the radio. I was assured that they were able to work on my car so I agreed. Upon returning, I was told that they didn't have the proper items to completely check my car's audio system!!!!! I asked if they didn't have the proper equipment to check my vehicles audio, WHY was I being charged?? I didn't want to make an issue of it so I just paid and left. I feel like I went to a tire store that didn't have an air compressor......I will NEVER return to this business. I should have followed my instincts when they were rude and would not allow me to speak with the tech, and was told that he didn't leave the back room and he had a language problem.....anyway, I cannot recommend this business at all. \r more

I'll be honest, my first impression at Car Trends was not favorable. The radio that I ordered was no longer available and the speakers that I picked out ended up not fitting. Needless to say I was dissapointed! I was ready to pack it in and go somewhere else, but the guys at Car Trends went above and beyond to gain back my satisfaction. I began to realize that the circumstances were out of there control. At the end of the day, I was extremely happy with my new system and felt like they were truly concerned about my satisfaction. I brought my car in to have a remote start installed. The staff was very knowledgeable. Being that I was clueless about remote starts - I left there very happy and educated! I'm now looking forward to a warm car this winter! Pros: null Cons: null more

About a year and a half ago I went there to get a sound system put in. Best shopping experience I've had with anything dealing with a car. The grungy looking sales guy, a kid really, was suprisingly very helpful. During the install, he came out of the back and informed me that some clips had been broken on my door panel. He told me that he could have them replaced with dealer parts in 45 minutes free of charge if I had the time to wait right then, or I could come back later if it was more convenient. Of course, I had it done right then in case the offer didn't hold true for very long. As I was paying I asked for the manager. I was going to tell the manager how something had been broken, but his sales guy took care of me and I was pleasantly suprised that he told me the truth instead of just lying to me. I came to find out that this grungy looking KID was the manager! Although I was a bit suprised to see a kid running the place, I was impressed at his professionalism and told him that I'd recommend the place to all my friends. Then I went back about 4 months ago to get my alarm remote that I bought there replaced as my wife had lost it. The guy behind the counter, Matt was his name I believe, took FOREVER trying to figure out what remote it was. Once he finally found it, he told me he could program it for $25 bucks plus the cost of the remote! Once I told him that the guy before had taken care of me in the past, his response was, "he's not here anymore." I asked him what happened to the guy and he said he took off for the military. So you, the manager, is RUDELY telling me that the guy that made me want to come back to this store is gone, and I have to deal with your rudeness and incompetency... I told him he could keep his remote and walked out. Never setting foot in there, and won't let my friends either. more

BEWARE!!!! DON'T GO HERE! They quoted me $179 to tint my windows (which was $29 higher than other quotes) and ended up paying $232.43 because I added the windshield strip. Really? Windshield strips cost $45? I've never paid over $25 at other shops! They didn't even tell me what the additional cost would be before the services are done. Once they get you... they GOT YOU!!!! The person behind the counter was more than rude. She didn't seem to care one bit that no one told me up front that it would be an additional $45!!!! Then I walked out to find that they had parked my BRAND NEW Audi TTS under their sign so the birds could CRAP all over it 16 times! Then I noticed that the installer didn't care to wipe the water streaks on the inside of the windshield from the $45 windshield strip installation. After talking to the OWNER he too doesn't care about taking care of the customer and doing the right thing! No Discount, No Car Wash, No Apology! If you own a piece of crap for a car and like being treated like a piece of crap then you might consider going here otherwise,,,, GO ANYWHERE BUT CAR TRENDS! Unfortunately I choose this place due to the ratings and reviews. Guess they might of had their own employees write them instead of actual customers. more

Car Trends is by far the best car audio shop that I have done business with. They have a fantastic selection and very knowledgable staff. Their prices are very competitive and I love the fact that their labor is guaranteed for life. The owner is there everyday and is very helpful. Check them out! Pros: Very well organized store with a ton of product. Cons: They are pretty busy all the time and it is hard to do any walkin business (but they squeeze you in most of the time!) more
