I hadn't gone to a salon in probably over a year. In the past I have had too many bad haircuts and the last one had finally grown out. I had heard good things about the stylist Steven L. @ M Squared. Although apprehensive, I felt it was time to face my fears. I explained to Steven what had happened in the past. He was very reassuring and listened to both what I wanted, and didn't want. I was not too adventurous this time, but upon my return ( won't wait a year this time) I will feel more confident to try something new. Thank you Steven for a positive salon experience. more

I started going to M2 about a year ago. I desperately needed to find a new salon b/c I had grown tired of my hair not looking how I wanted to. I read good reviews of M2 online and of Melissa so I made an appointment with her. She is the best stylist - she is talented, friendly and really listens to what you want. She always works with 1 client at a time and appointments are scheduled with enough time so you never feel rushed. After my first visit I started getting compliments immediately, and everyone said my hair looked so much better even though I hadn't told them I changed stylists. more

I get a LOT of places are offering this service but I knew that, even though it grows back, you only have one shot at your hair looking good. I have been going to Steven and others at M Squared since, well, forever, and I knew I could only trust one person to care and do the best job possible on my hair. I made the commitment to have the Brazillian Blow Dry done to my hair. I finally have the hair I wanted all my life. My naturally curlyish, frizzy hair, is soft and with very little work, I can dry my hair myself and wear it down and it looks great. I am so grateful to Steven for doing such a great job and taking such pride in his training! I would recommend this service to all, but just a word of caution, you get what you pay for, so maybe you can get it done cheaper someplace else, but your taking a GREAT risk! Kristen more

I was referred by a friend here. Melissa was excellant! She listened to what I had to say, was very attentive, and aware of what I was looking for on my hair. My concern is that I have thick hair and frizzy in the heat. She gave me some suggestions, and she mentioned that my new hair would change my life. It SURE DID!!\r This place is excellant, the people are very professional. This is not like other salons were they gossip about people and their own clients. Referred to M Squared by a friend. For my first time I was a little concerned but the experience was great. Melissa was awesome! I showed her a couple of pictures of what I was looking for as far as a cut and what my normal hair color was. I was opened to hear what she had to say. She suggested a couple of highlights to accent the front and it worked out great. more

I went for the first time to Devon yesterday for color and can't be happier! I originally went all the way to Newbury Street hoping to find perfect hair color, ended up way too dark, and not at all what I had asked for. I explained my woes to the woman on the phone at M squared, she was extremely helpful and directed me to Devon. Devon was detailed oriented and made me feel comfortable by telling me her plan before she mixed the color. I felt like for the first time she knew exactly what I wanted without a lot of explaination. And unbelievably the final product matched what her plan was! Imagine that! I just moved here from LA and was a little anxious about finding a great hairdresser - whomever he/she was, would have to measure up to a great hairdresser from LA. Well, I found all of that in Melissa. Wonderfully talented, well informed- she understood my hair, my challenges and how best to bring out the qualities of my hair, using my facial shape and hair texture to its best advantage. Driving to the salon I was worried as to what Devin my new stylist would say when she saw my too light dull blond hair , I had been coloring myself. \r I entered the salon and took a seat. A moment later she intorduced herself smiled and shook my hand. I felt as ease immediatly . She carefully evaluated my hair as I shared my bad hair dreams, pixie cut, red head... yikes! Moved here a couple months ago from Little Rock and came to this salon on a friend's recommendation. She recommended Melissa, but I scheduled with Devan, which I am very pleased about. She gave me a great cut and a new color. She was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable with the style. Devan also went out of her way to recommend restaurants in the area that she liked, which I greatly appreciated. ( being new to the area and all) I will definitely be back! A few friends had been to the salon and loved it. After my appointment with Lori I knew why. She spent so much time giving me great hints, and showing me how best to style my hair (which is very fine). I've never had a stylist take the time to do this! I'm very happy! more

I've been seeing Stephanie for haircuts and styling for about 4 years. She is amazing with hair - so talented - and easy to talk to. She knows what is trendy and gives great hair advice. I always leave absolutely loving my hair! Everyone in the salon is professional and friendly. Michael, the owner, is awesome and also very talented.
