Buckhead Christian Ministry (BCM) is a faith-based, non-profit organization that provides emergency assistance to individuals and families of all backgrounds and faiths, treating everyone with dignity and compassion. BCM is driven by a dual mission to serve those in need and provide opportunities for members of the community to be involved in service. BCM places special emphasis on preventing homelessness through education, and the provision of food, clothing and financial assistance to families and individuals in crisis. BCM also provides long term assistance for working parents and their children through The 70/30 Project, Transitional Housing Program, and Money Management Course.
BCM was founded in 1987 through the efforts of five Buckhead churches. These visionary churches, realizing that people in need could best be served through a coordinated community effort, opened BCM as an Emergency Assistance Program in a small office on Peachtree Road. In the years since, BCM has grown to be a city wide agency supported by 29 churches, corporations and businesses, private and public foundations, civic groups, and thousands of individuals.
