Buchanan's Bp Service Centers

My grandpa is a Vietnam vet. He lives half a block from this shop & has used it for years. He contacted the owner to have his car towed & looked at. He said they were going to tow it down there for free & inspect it. Carl, the owner, later told me he told my grandpa that tow was $60 & evaluation was $40. My grandpa is having a hard time & cannot afford food or rent. We went to get the car, I explained the situation & asked Carl if we could get a discount. He rudely said that he had let my grandpa know the prices, but reluctantly discounted $20. We sold the car for scrap. I went in to pay the $84 & told Carl I intended on leaving negative reviews online. He got very defensive. I said I would have rolled the car down the street had I have known it would cost $60 for a tow, & he was taking advantage of the elderly. Then he threw the keys at my face & told me to get the damn car towed & get the hell out of his shop. I asked about payment & he said to just get the hell out. more

ATTENTION: The gas station at 50th and Dodge charged us $47 to put a belt back on and said we needed $500+ dollars of repairs. My dad looked at it at said that the belt slipped off because a reservoir was over-filled and that nothing else was wrong. The car is working fine. These guys are rip-off artists DON'T GO THERE! more

The BP Station at 50th & Dodge is the place to go if you need your tire patched after most places are closed down. I believe they keep somebody there till 9:00PM. They've saved me twice from digging out the spare and changing a tire in the cold. more

I started trading at Buchanans at 50/Dodge in 1983 when I moved to Omaha's Dundee area. I have continued to patronize places I believe that Steve Buchanan owns (Bucky's Expresses). If Steve owns the Bucky's Epress at 40/Dodge, he'll be pleased to know that I will not be using this station or any station that requires a card to get gas pumps turned on. When gave my debit card inside (wanting to know if that was good enough to "pre-pay"), the male on duty right at 8:00 a.m. 1/2/07 talked to me like I was an idiot saying "well, you could have used your debit card at the pump." Needed to handle that differently! By the way, no where in the signage at the pump does it say you can use a debit card. I will not be giving bp any information about me to get the card to turn on a pump. I will find a smaller station to patronize. Thanks for the past years of treating me like I was a person. more
