Your team does a fantastic job. I was kept informed throughout the process, closed ontime. Great option for self employed like myself. Only negative is that you dont refi second home but I appreciate the referral to Republic although Republic is not automated and interest rate is a little higher. more

No cost is great, communication is poor 9/25/2012

Communication needs to be better. When additional documentation was needed, it was just posted on my online account. I had to basically log in every day to check the status. I would suggest having a system generated email go out to the customer anytime a new request is posted online or any kind of status update. more

Great Work! 9/24/2012

In the past 5 years we have refinanced on a house, purchased a new home, refinanced it to a 20 year, and now refinanced to a 15 year--each time with Box Home Loans. They have streamlined the process through online resources and they had excellent staff/processors available to help us each step of the way. With the many changes to refinancing through the years Box Home Loans continues to impress with their service and capacity to deliver! If we need to, we'll certainly be using them again. more

The online tools to follow my loan helped me know where the loan as at in the process most of the time. Lower rates and fees than the big guys. Great people to talk to and much friendlier than the larger bank establishments I left to work with Box Home Loans. more

Very Good Experience 9/21/2012

I felt like I had a great experience at Box with just a couple of notes. I didn't get my final docs until the notary came to close our loan. I wish I would have had them a couple of days early so my wife and I could verify all the information from the Good Faith Estimate. While this isn't really their fault, the loan lock was set for 60 days. Considering that it was an extremely busy time for all mortgage people, I understand. I do wonder though if the pricing could have been better if it had been a 30 day lock or 45 day lock. In all, I still got an awesome rate with a huge credit back to us. The people at Box are awesome and very responsive to my inquiries, mostly due to a lack of experience in getting a home loan. more

Too many documents required 9/20/2012

I would never recommend Box because of the horrendous number of documents and pages I was required to submit. I have refinanced several times in the past with other lenders, and never had requirements anything like those from Box. more

Went pretty smoothly, online was nice for my schedule 9/20/2012

Process and online doc submittal was nice in that it didn't take up much time during normal working hours - was able to complete and submit on my schedule. A little difficulty getting responses from loan officer through email or messages. Seemed that unless i could catch him at his desk when i called i never heard back. but once i did catch him he got questions answered quickly. more

Finally -- Home Loan Refinance Made Easy 9/20/2012

I was impressed from the first moment that I entered the site. Box was the only company that allowed me to enter minimal information to receive an accurate rate quote and refinancing information online without having to deal with a call back from a salesperson. Everything was processed through the website -- except for the home inspection and final doc signing, which Box expertly facilitated. All questions were answered quickly. The real-time rating feature allows every customer to update his or her satisfaction rating on a real-time basis, and when I did have a minor processing problem, I received a timely reply from a supervisor who honestly addressed and corrected the problem. This is a smart company that is using today's technology to provide a quick and easy home loan experience that is truly "outside the box." more

All agents were on top of the processes and kept me informed of the progress of the loan as it developed. The agents were friendly, courteous, and very helpful to answer any questions or concerns. Box Home Loans did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. more

Great Rates, Terrible Customer Service 9/20/2012

We got a great rate in our refi, but up until the very day of the closing we were kept completely in the dark about what was happening. The loan officer never returned a single one of my phone calls (I made three over the course of the loan process). I also had to instruct the title company doing the closing to create at least one key document that was needed to assure clear title for the transaction (I am a title insurance attorney). This company provides great rates, but you are definitely taking your chances if you go with them. Use at your own risk and don't expect good service or communication! more

I was hesitant about using an on line service for my re-fi because I do not have internet access at home. But I was reassured by the first person I spoke with that it would not be an issue...it was. 9/6/2012

It was great to call and either get a person or a call back. But most of the communication was still linked to on-line. It seemed to me that as I got closer to approval and loan closing that it was more difficult to get answers to my questions. It was not easy to work with so many different people from the first call to the end...I think a total of 5. After closing was set and just a few hours before it was scheduled I got a call that underwriting needed more documents. That seemed tight and when we finally closed on a Saturday and the closer came with wrong numbers, I could not get a hold of anyone. That made for some confusion and anxiety. Most of the process was fine and the people I worked with were pleasant and helpful..just stressed. more
