I'm hooked. I had one of their cream cheese and strawberry topped glazed donuts the other day and nearly wept it was so good. Best donut I've ever eaten in my life. more

One of the BEST! 3/23/2010

I have been going to Bonomini Bakery my entire life and must say, I have yet to find a bakery that atches in quality, price and service! Their cakes are supreme and their cookies are a must have tradition with my entire large family! more

The Best 9/24/2009

I have never had donuts and coffee so good. This place is the best... I look forward to trying even more items from their bakery. more

Best German Bakery 12/17/2008

Bonomini is by far the best German bakery in the greater Cincinnati area. It is located in historic Northside. It is WELL worth a trip to this bakery, especially at Christmas. They make the best traditional Christmas stollen as well as other German cookies. I highly recommend this bakery. Pros: traditional german bakery more

The BEST family owned bakery left in Cinti! 6/1/2008

This bakery is probably the Best family owned bakery in Cinti. I grew up on these bakery goods when this was Blue Rock Bakery owned by Rudy and his wife in the 50's, 60's and 70's. They sold this in the mid to late 70's. They were the typical German bakery owners. It lost it's luster until it became Bonomini's. They have restored GREAT baked goods back to this bakery. They have what I consider to be the best Jelly filled donut any where. They are TOPS! They make a banana frosted rusk that is UNBEATABLE! Just like I ate as a child. They still make a German cake donut called a Klunker, served plain, iced or with powdered sugar. These are simple and just SUPERB! DO NOT confuse these with those nasty store bought crullers. Their breakfast rolls and Danish are also Great. I highly rate their bread as well. I live 85 miles from them, but stop in whenever I'm in Northside, and I do load up. I highly recomend this bakery to all who still long for REAL baked goods made from scratch. This place is GREAT!!! Pros: The Best Cons: None that I would mention, more

best cakes and desserts ever 4/16/2008

The bakery could be in a better location, but they have the freshest cakes and pastries that I have ever taste. The cakes are baked to perfection. I make up occasions just to have a reason to have one of those cakes, and they have the freshest pastries, My whole family loves it. Pros: food quality Cons: location more

If there's a better bakery in Cincinnati, I haven't been there. 4/24/2007

The vienna bread is a must-have accompaniment with pasta. The ryes, light and dark, are an old-world (in Cincinnati, read: German) reminder of what real bread is supposed to be. I've never had a bad pastry in here, and the fruit-topped or filled offerings are amazing, such as the coffee cake, and the paczki during carnival season. It's even a good coffee and doughnut shop (carry out only, this ain't Dunkin'), but you'd better show up early because your choices dwindle as each wave of commuters make their pit stops. It's so good, I'm amazed it's still open and part of the neighborhood, but hey, that's Northside for you, 100% Old School. Pros: Great products of every description, strong neighborhood feel. Cons: If busy, parking can be a little tricky. more

good bread! 11/3/2005

Bonomini has very good bread in town. You can buy from them on any occassion. I remember buying from them everytime there are birthdays in my family and friends. Everybody seem to like the taste of their bread. I am just not sure if they are italian or german because every christmas, they sell these german bread and they are so good. People in cincinnati, you guys should check this place out! The place is clean too! more

Pastries to Die For! 8/20/2002

Ok, it's in a lousy area, but Bonomini has wonderful pastries. Addictive. The only other bakery that compares is Mt. Washington Bakery. more
