The vienna bread is a must-have accompaniment with pasta. The ryes, light and dark, are an old-world (in Cincinnati, read: German) reminder of what real bread is supposed to be. I've never had a bad pastry in here, and the fruit-topped or filled offerings are amazing, such as the coffee cake, and the paczki during carnival season. It's even a good coffee and doughnut shop (carry out only, this ain't Dunkin'), but you'd better show up early because your choices dwindle as each wave of commuters make their pit stops. It's so good, I'm amazed it's still open and part of the neighborhood, but hey, that's Northside for you, 100% Old School. Pros: Great products of every description, strong neighborhood feel. Cons: If busy, parking can be a little tricky.
