My husband and I recently went through Blue Water Mortgage as first time home buyers with the assistance of Derek and Jay, whom made the process painless. They both made themselves readily available to answer any questions or concerns throughout the entire process. They were extremely attentive and answered with timely responses. They completed the bulk of the paper work, asking for bits and pieces along the way. I was impressed with their level of knowledge and ability to be flexible. Our realtor was also impressed with how easy they were to work with. We would highly recommend using Blue Water Mortgage. Derek and his team ROCK! In the future, we would totally use them again! more

As a first time home buyer my experience with Blue Water Mortgage was excellent. Jim Collins was recommended to me by my realtor early on in the process; I couldn't have worked with a better individual. From the start Jim was patient and answered all of my questions. As it got closer to buying the house, Jim kept in touch constantly and provided me with all the necessary details I needed. When he came to work with me personally he took his time going over all of the paperwork and double checking that I understood the entire process. I cannot recommend Jim highly enough, he is committed, intelligent, patient and kind. Thank you Blue Water Mortgage for making purchasing my first home such a positive experience. more

We had a very long and drawn out home search process and when we did find the home of our dreams, Roger and Paula made it happen for us! Roger was in constant communication to keep us in the loop for what documents were needed, how to secure the financing, and actually had his team review everything thoroughly to make sure I was getting the best rate, best monthly payment, and best closing costs possible. We ended up closing a week sooner than expected and up until the very last day, I had nothing but utter confidence that they would make sure that we closed. Being in such a volatile economy, it was nice to see that Blue Water will do anything in their power to make sure that they have happy clients who were able to obtain and secure the mortgage. I'm very thankful and would recommend them to anyone looking to either buy a home or refinance! more

I honestly wouldn't go elsewhere! We were looking to buy our house about 4 years ago and a friend referred us to Jason Caruso at Blue Water Mortgage. As you can imagine, it was much easier to get a mortgage then but still we (Jason) had to jump through a few hoops to get the house. It was a short sale opportunity and took months to get the approval but Jason walked us through every step and rate lock to make sure we got the best rate. I remember the moment he called to say we ""were all set!"". He stuck to everytime timeline in the process. Since then, he has re-financed my father's house twice and we just went through a re-fi ourselves. Much different than it was 4 years ago! It took much longer this time due to regulations and a VA re-fi but Jason pulled through again! Waiting for the rates to drop again so we can take advantage of the VA re-fi option. I really don't do these testimonials often but this one is well worth it! more

We had a fantastic experience with Blue Water Mortgage. We were refereed to them by two of our friends, we would defiantly refer anyone looking to purchase a home to work with them. As a first time home buyer we had no idea how to start the mortgage process and what to expect. John Riley explained everything to us. Whenever we had a question, which I had many he always picked up his phone or called us right back. He always wanted to make sure we understood what he was saying. Everyone at Blue Water was great they all worked together to help us close. I would recommend anyone looking to buy a house to use Blue Water Mortgage you will have a great experience just like we did. Everyone who is a part of Blue Water is very helpful and caring. As a first time home buyer, I had no idea where to begin with the mortgage process. Our realtor referred us to Blue Water to get pre-approved and we were fortunate enough to work with Rick Schlager. Even before we made an offer, Rick was extremely helpful and made sure we would be able to get approved for the condo we ended up falling in love with. Once the actual closing process started we stuck with Blue Water since our experience had been so positive thus far. They also have lawyers who will look over your P&S free of charge, which is a GREAT help during the stressful process. Rick was always available to answer our never ending questions, no matter how simple or small. I would 100% recommend Blue Water to anyone, especially first time home buyers. They made the entire process seamless. more

Blue Water Mortgage was recommended to us by our realtor and we are so glad she did! This is our third time buying a home and Blue Water helped to make the home buying process so easy for us.. We were able to get pre-qualified for a mortgage within 2 hours of contacting Roger at Blue Mortgage! I am convinced the speed with which Blue Water was able to get things done was one of the reasons why we were able to make an offer and have it accepted so quickly. Reliable, Professional, Works with you! 6/28/2010

Although very professional they are also very friendly. When problems arose they were quick to offer solutions to keep things progressing. Not only did I get my mortgage through them I also got a huge lesson in how this process works and things you can and can't do. Laura Gibb would answer her phone into the late hours of the night to answer questions and put my wife and I at ease. When the time is right I am going to definately do business with Laura again. Highly recommended. more

Highly recommend 4/22/2010

Our experience with Blue Water Mortgage was smooth from start to finish. Our Loan Officer, Laura Gibb, was really knowledgeable of the entire process, and she made us feel comfortable and confident in all our inquiries. The loan was processed in a timely fashion, and the closing was more than convenient; in our own home, on a week-night. Not to mentioned we got the best rate available. Highly recommend Blue Water Mortgage to everyone 4/22/2010

My wife and I were first time homebuyers and we got our mortgage through Blue Water Mortgage. Jeff Davis, our mortgage broker, was one of the best, down to earth and straight to the point broker. He was always available to answer our questions and made sure that he offered a solution that worked best for us. He surpassed our expectations. We closed on our loan within 3 weeks. Originally we talked to 2 banks, but we were told that in order to purchase a condominium we were looking at, we would need 20% down payment and our interest rate would be 5.5%. Jeff was able to get us a mortgage with 10% down payment and 4.75% interest rate. What a difference and relief for us! Pros: They found the best deal for us. Cons: Nothing that we know of. more

DO NOT USE! 4/16/2009

After receiving a pre-approval letter AND a commitment letter from Blue Water Mortgage to purchase our first home we were told 2 days before closing that we couldn't get financing. We jumped through numerous hoops to make this deal happen and blue water completely stopped working for us. They gave up and cost us our house, our earnest money deposit and the inspection fee. We're now working with NE Moves who has us approved and is FAR more pleasant to deal with. I don't have to wonder if they're doing their job. DO NOT EVER use Blue Water Mortgage!!!!!! They only received 1 star because I had to put something to be able to publish this. Cons: Horrible experience, lied more
