I thought with all the good reviews I've read here, I'd give this place another chance. BIG MISTAKE! Pros: no pros Cons: cakes are stale and dry

Addictive to chocoholics 4/8/2009

Sinfully delicious decadent delights. That's what Black Hound bakes. Their creations have an artisanal flair. The Busy Bee cake is the perfect gift cake for a special occasion that will have everyone asking "Where did you get that?" Amazing cookies too! more

Good Pastry 7/26/2005

Black Hound has a nice assortment of pastries that are all very good. They also sell different chocolates and make a nice cup of coffee. The chocolate cake is excellent and this is the kind of place you go for a piece of cake and then on your way out impulsively buy a second piece for later. The service is a little slow but not horrifyingly so. more

Pastry 7/7/2005

Recently opened with great pastry and chocolate. I really liked the cake I got here but it is weird as they sell pastry but it's not really a place to eat cake and coffee. The food is really good but a more than a little pricey for what it is and the neighborhood it is in. The service is good at least I haven't had to wait on any long lines. more
