The past 4 times we've had food from Bill Lee's - the dishes were wrong, bland and inedible! Food tends to be on the lukewarm side. Perhaps they are saving 60 year old food to serve??? Won't be going back nor recomend! When you contact management they don't seem to care. Bye Bye Bill Lee's. Extremely disappointed. more

Awesome Mongolian Beef 6/2/2009

I enjoy the atmosphere at Bill Lee's. Very quiet, nice date place. The food is fantastic if not a little pricey for Chinese fare. One of the only "upscale" places in town for good Asian food. more

Whenever I am looking for good chinese food I always go to Bill Lee's. Great for big parties or just a small group. The tea and multiple entrees to choose from makes this restaurant a must-visit! more

fair portions and acceptable service 9/4/2008

a classy interior with great decor. the food is well portioned for the price; however, completely lacking in quality. not the place to go if you're looking for authenticity. as the first chinese restaurant in bakersfield, the food has gradually evolved to suit the tastes of the general american population. cleanliness is somewhat of an issue. be mindful to some of the utensils as they might need an extra wipe or two. the men's restroom is satisfactory. the dim-lit interior creates a great atmosphere, making it an excellent place to bring a date. however, if you're looking for an authentic taste, you're more than likely to be disappointed. more

i was born and raised in bakersfield, and moved to san francisco when i was 21. i have been looking for a chinese restaurant as good as bill lee's sinced i moved up here. nothing, nope, nothing compares to bill lee's! everytime i visit family, it's own my list of things to do during my stay. highly recommended!! BEST Chinese Food in Bakersfield 5/23/2006

Bill Lee's has the best chinese food in Bakersfield. The Chicken fried rice is the best I have tasted anywhere. I have been going here since I was a young child and the quality of the food has always stayed the same. The prices are comparable to other restaurants. They also deliver and I've found that they deliver pretty quickly. The establishment has a bar and a restaurant inside it's building. PROS: Best chinese food in town, hot and fresh CONS: more

This chinese restaurant has very good authentic tasting chinese food. They have a big variety on their menu. I have really liked everything that i have had here and I always try to get new things. But everything has been outstanding. more
