First time I went here summer 07. Great food, great drinks. Not even that expensive, the location is great and everything is very tasty. But, service is slow and unattentive.

From the reviews of The Turnkey Traveler,we plan a visit 12/31/2010

There is a new , fabulous blog site called, The Turnkey Traveler and because of its great sharing of so many things of Colorado, we are stoked to check out places and activities they have mentioned. Beso De Arte was one they highly recommended and we plan to check it out after the holidays. We and many of our our friends are strong advocates of this new start up blog. It is absolutely amazing and so what we have needed. It is the reason we will be checking you out. more

Great Experience! 2/6/2010

Great cocktails and food, amazing atmosphere. Perfect for a preconcert destination or date night. Pros: Homemade latin food, AWESOME Patio more

We LOVE this place! 2/5/2010

Beautiful Space with wonderful service and food! We love bringing out of town guests here! Pros: Service-Best Patio in Colorado Cons: Parking more

Great food, excellent service and a nice place 7/19/2009

I was a little skeptical reading other reviews but we wanted to go check it out for ourselves. I'm glad we did as the service was very good and the staff was friendly and courteous. Started off at the bar where the bartender was very entertaining and friendly. We did not have to wait long for a table and the server was right there and checked on us often. The food was very good and had a good presentation. Overall a great dinner. Pros: Friendly service and great atmosphere Cons: Some traffic noise more

Ouch 6/2/2009

Cool place, but food was way overpriced for what you get. Both my girlfriend and I felt sick the rest of the night, too much grease most likely. Cocktails were less than average as well. more

Very Disappointed 5/31/2009

This is a great location and building and that is about it. I ordered one of the lava bowls which came out flaming hot (a plus), but was greasy and the pork looked like ground beef. The black beans that came on the side had a very weird taste and an odd visual and consistency to them. They looked almost gray. Rice looked and tasted like boxed Rice-A-Roni. Guacamole was bland. Drinks were below average. This place is way overpriced and their claim of being upscale is only substantiated by the prices on their menu. The stomach ache throughout the night and the next morning are enough evidence to avoid returning. Overall, they are trying too hard to be upscale and put a fancy twist to simple authentic dishes. The menu items are best described as a hodge podge of Latin/Hispanic/Mexican dishes. There are several other great options around town for half the price. Pros: Great Building Cons: Food, beverages, price more

Beutiful ambiance, great food! 9/28/2008

I love Beso! Great Latin American food, Mojitos to die for. Try the fish tacos, they are unique! And the sweet potato fries with chipotle dip are yummy. The service is prompt and friendly, and the town of Morrison is a fun place to walk around and visit, with all the tourist shops. A great place to go before a concert at Red Rocks. Try the patio on a crisp fall evening; they'll light the gas fireplace, giving the the patio a warm ambiance. As you can see, I'm a fan! Pros: Great food, great ambiance more

The patio is beautiful, and the service was fantastic! 6/4/2008

My husband and I were heading to a concert, and what better way to start off a great night than to eat at a restaurant in the scenic town of Morrison. We were driving through and saw this gorgeous patio, so we had to stop. It was about 6:00 and although things looked hectic, we were seated almost immediately. We got our drinks immediately, and our server was very personable. I ordered the Pechuga con Tomatillo, which is a chicken breast topped with a tomatillo sauce and mushrooms- fantastic! It was mexican food with a sophisticated twist. The mojitos were to die for, and my husband's margarita was just as delicious. You simply must try it! Pros: Beautiful surroundings, Great service, food and drinks Cons: no parking more

Great Food and Patio, Nice Server 6/2/2008

We came out to Morrison for an afternoon of shopping when we noticed Beso De Arte's beautiful Pros: Food, Service Cons: No reservations, No Parking more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! 5/25/2008

Outdoor patio is nice. However, the food is awful!! My husband and I went here for our anniversary on 5/25/08. My husband ordered the steak fajitas, the meat was pasty and mushy. I ordered the pork lava bowl it came with pico de gallo over some lettuce, there was probably a teaspoon of the pico de gallo. The black beans were watery and the rice was pasty also. I swear the meat tasted and smelled like it was canned meat. The tortillas were old tasting and to top it off the margaritas were awful and over priced. Not a good way to spend an anniversary. Take my advice save your money, you would be better off at Taco Bell!! Pros: Nice atmosphere Cons: AWFUL FOOD AND DRINKS. OVERPRICED. more

Been here twice, 1 good, 1 bad......food=very good, location=very nice, service=very poor 5/19/2008

They just DON'T care, one tiny bit. 3/4/2008

I'd like to voice a huge disappointment in this restaurant, which was recommended by a friend at work. I was told how wonderful and romantic ""The Cave"" was, so I phoned two months in advance to reserve it for a Valentine's celebration with my girlfriend, Saturday 16th, at 7:00. To start with I had to leave a couple of voicemail messages trying to book the room, that were not returned. I called a third time and was lucky enough that the phone was picked up and I was able to make the reservation. Pros: No idea... we couldn't even get to eat there! Cons: Hardly ever pickup phone. Never return voice or email messages. Messed up reservation. more

mmmm Lava Rock 2/14/2008

The place is really cute and the ambiance is perfect for the cuisine. We ate on Valentine's day so it wasn't too busy - they really get busy in the summer as they are close to red rocks and they have a killer patio. We shared the appetizer special: poblano hummus with warm flat bread, but they bring chips and salsa. Our server suggested the red or green pork Molcajete. The dish came out bubbling hot in two large lava rock bowl (Molcajete literally translates as mortar). The sauce was flavorful and the pork was tender, it was served with Spanish rice, black beans, lettuce, tomato and guacamole (much like fajitas). The wine list is extensive and appropriate since most of the selections are South American. The Mojitos looked fabulous but better for a warm summer day. We were too stuffed to get dessert. Morrison is not that far away this place is a gem, check it out! Pros: the specials Cons: a little expensive more

What are you talking about?? This place is great. 9/25/2007

Those who reviewed this restaurant negatively are in the minority I hope! Pros: Great food, pretty surrounding. more

Awful Service 8/29/2007

I would love to be able to write a review of the food but my reservation for 4 people was ignored and we were unable to even get a table. 2 of our party arrived ten minutes before the reservation and could not even get a drink at the bar. When we arrived, the hostess informed us that although we had a reservation we were not going to get a table and that we should some where else! A restaurant that is located near a venue like Red Rocks should be able to accommodate a concert-evening crowd. Not going back. Pros: Beautiful space Cons: Awful Service more

Terrible Service and completely unorganized. 8/28/2007

My group made reservations for 4 people FOUR days in advance and the restaurant did not have a table for us. They had our name on the reservation list, but they were so unorganized that the matire d' even suggested we go somewhere else. The reservation was for a Monday night. more

Service Needs Major Help 7/14/2007

Food is a bit above average but better than TEXMEX around town. Thus service really needs to be way above average. That is not the case based on dinner July 14, 2007. Among many shortcomings the check was delivered promptly but before dinner was completed and with no mention if dessert was an option. Pros: Nice setting - Cons: Service lacking more

Disappointing lunch 6/15/2007

I was excited to try this restaurant as there are not many nice dining choices close to home. My husband and I went for lunch, and were sadly disappointed. We were given chips and salsa, and the chips were stale. We each ordered a sandwich ($9 each). We were dismayed when our plates arrived bearing a tiny sandwich and some puffs (better than Cheetos, but not much more exciting). For the price, I expected a better presentation/garnish, and something extra on the side (coleslaw, greens, fruit, etc). I had a mint mojito ($7), which was delicious (although skimpy on alcohol), and my husband had a Golden Margarita ($8), which was tiny and not very good. Our lunch was over $35 (tip not included), and we had to pay $5 for parking - what a disappointment! There is a slight chance that we will give Beso de Arte a chance for dinner, and maybe stop by for drinks on their awesome patio, but we will NEVER go there for lunch again! Pros: Patio Cons: Lunch, Parking more

Best place to eat in Morrison, awesome service, great atmosphere 3/14/2007

This resturant is amazing. The menu has many different unique items on it, and you'll want to go back just so you can try them all. I know that I will. The food is wonderful as well as the service. The patio out back is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. With the fireplace out there and the waterfall that goes over the priviate dining room it's the perfect spot to be to just relax and enjoy the evening. It can be a bit pricey for some, but if you want to have an enjoyable evening or afternoon it is worth it and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Pros: Amazing food, great service, good atmosphere Cons: little pricey more

Horrendously Awful Food; Nice Surroundings 12/31/2006

I can honestly say that this was the absolute worst meal of my life. And it's too bad - the owners of Beso de Arte did a beautiful job on the renovation of the building and patio; it's a shame they didn't apply even a tiny fraction of that attention to the food. No matter how great the surroundings are, it is, after all, a restaurant, and if your food is inedible, then what have you got? Pros: Beautiful renovation and patio Cons: Awful, inedible food, indifferent service more
