Help me help you 5/31/2002

The memory of my experience brings a smile to my face. The food was the best part of the event but the wait staff was a close second. I don't know alot about matching food and laddering wine but I do know how I feel when its performed correctly. The head waiter deflty assisted with my selections verbally and nonverbally. The press lobster was superb. The selections for the cheese and dessert courses were over the top. The top notch food and service were a catalyst for a great evening among friends. Second to Ben Franklin in Popularity 5/21/2002

For more than 25 years Le Bec Fin has served as Philadelphia's link with the world-class dining scene. Chef and owner Georges Perrier is a staunch classicist, so don't don't expect raspberry vinegar. The food is not flawless; sometimes it is too heavy and convoluted; overall, though, dining here is a memorable experience. The regal room is too bright for me. Service is superb. more
