Bear Appliance Repair did a great job. The technician who came in to fix my dishwasher was very knowledgeable, efficient, and easy to talk to. He did not leave until he made sure that it was working correctly, and it has been ever since. I would highly recommend them. more

French Door Refrigerator Repair 11/15/2014

My less than 7 year old french door bottom freezer stainless steel refrigerator just died 2 weeks before Thanksgiving! I found Bear Appliance Repair online, gave them a call and they sent George to my upper west side apartment in less than an hour! He went to work, found the problem and told me what it would cost! He was finished in about 30 minutes and although the price was steep, I can't be mad because everything is fixed and I will be able to enjoy the upcoming holidays without spending thousands of dollars to buy a new fridge! I would recommend this service to anyone who needed emergency repairs and I'm going to follow George's advice about regular maintenance! more

Find Someone Who Will Stand by His Service 7/7/2014

Not a satisfied customer. Igor charged me $180.00 to check my leaking refrigerator. He found a piece of plastic which was blocking a drainage hole and removed it. He did not have to repair anything or install any new parts. Five weeks later the same problem reoccurred. I called him and he told me he would have to charge me again as a new visit because it was 5 weeks after his visit, and he only guarantees his work for 4 weeks. He was also supposed to get back to me about replacing a part in my automatic ice maker and I never heard from him about that. I'd say to find someone else. more

Very satisfied with Bear Appliance repair. 1/14/2014

I have a Frigidaire refrigerator. It was making loud noises from the back and I did not feel safe using it. Called Bear Appliance Repair and spoke to Igor, he was able to rush the appointment per my request and come in the same day! Fixed the refrigerator and reassured me that everything is ok, great repairman. Also recommended good quality low cost appliance that lasts a very long time. Thank you Igor! more

Great service 11/11/2013

My fridge was acting up and I wanted it repaired before it completely stopped working and potentially spoil my groceries. I called Bear and they managed to diagnose the issue, order the correct parts and fixed it quickly. It's humming like new now. more

Labor Price way too expensive $275 for any work 12/15/2012

I was informed that price of the service visit would be removed from the labor to fix the refrigerator. When the price for the repair was added up it was $275 for labor which he stated already had the price removed. So this was alot more expensive then going with Jennaire directly. $275 to repair. Igor, was yelling at me when I called him to see why it was so much. Jennaire to fix my refrigerator including maintenance was $414. These guys came up to over $600. I suggest you look elsewhere before you go with these guys. more

Igor and his crew are absolutely terrific. 12/13/2012

I had an issue with my Premier oven, I thought I smelled gas, and thought the pilot wasn't working as it should, so I called Bear Appliance Repair. They were incredibly responsive, incredibly available, and answered calls on the weekend at all hours. I made my first call on Saturday at around 10 A.M. and they had someone out either the same day or next morning. They ended up coming out 3 separate times, as I wasn't sure if it needed to be looked at again. Each time they were very professional. They gave a time when they would be there, explained what they would be doing, what they thought problem might be, and they talked about cost before executing any work. Igor was extremely knowledgeable. He was on phone with his tech while tech was working on appliance as the tech told him what the problem was. When I called again after the fact, they came back again to make sure things were working properly. The tech was fantastic, on time, and also very professional. He wouldn't even take a tip from me. I thought they were terrific, if I have a problem with another appliance I would absolutely call them first. more

Anyone who needs a professional repair person - Bear should be the first that you call. 10/10/2012

I live in a co-op in Brooklyn, and we go to Bear Appliance for all of our repair needs. Igor, the man who comes out, is very professional. After fixing something he always does a follow up call to make sure everything is alright. He has repaired our washing machines and dryers from non working to working, at least over 10 times. He's always replacing parts, and takes the time to go through everything and see if something needs to be replaced just to make sure. Even if you have something unexpected come up, he's great for an emergency call too. If the washing machine was overflowing he would be the person to call because he would be here in 20 minutes to an hour to take care of it. more

Actually, I use this company all the time. I have had some issues with my dryers, and Bear Appliance Repair worked with me to fix those. They kept to the schedule and kept to the price. The guy did a tremendous job. I really can't complain. more

I needed to service issues I had with my ice maker. I had several companies I called and they came and they couldn't find what's wrong, and they would give me a service charge every time they came. I found Bear Appliance Repair from a Google search and got his number through the website. He came and fixed it the first time and I was impressed. The next time, I had an issue with my washing machine. He ordered a new part, and he came and put it in and now its working. He understands how things work and that's very helpful in repair. He is also very flexible with his schedule, he can come in the evening. It's good for people who work, he will come at 9 or 10 at night even. His prices are reasonable and he does not overcharge. more
