This place is great. I had a very bad experience elsewhere with braces some years ago, then I starting coming here and Dr. Firth redid all of my previous orthodontists bad work and he didn't charge me and arm and a leg for it. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgable. They get you in and out quick and the process is painless with them. Even though it's been a few years since I've had braces (I had them as an adult), I still go back once a year or so just for a checkup to be sure everything is staying in line and doesn't need attention and Dr. Firth and everyone in the office still remembers me and greets me with a warm welcome. more

I find this comment to be unusual. It is written by a third party; we know what happens to stories as they trickle down the line! As having current and previous children in their care, I find this to be absurd. In all of the years that my children have been receiving ortho treatment from this practice, I have never had an appointment cancelled without notice nor been misquoted about their fees. more

""My daughter Lauryn was 8 years old when we went for her first consultation at Bankhead and Firth. Upon their recommendation, we agreed to the 2 phase braces/retainers. Our family was so comfortable with Dr. Firth on the initial consultation that we did not hesitate. She was in her braces for a little over a year; the entire staff always made our appointment a pleasant one. They pay close attention to making sure you get in and out quickly, and realize that schedules are busy. Lauryn was nervous and excited at first and they made her so comfortable. The environment makes orthodontics a fun experience. They all speak directly to each child as they are as important as the parent. I especially like that each technician comes out with her to speak with me after the appointment to give me feedback on progress and any concerns. \r \r On the appointment that she had her braces taken off it was a celebration. We were under the care of another orthodontist and – for several reasons – it just didn’t feel “right”. \r \r Our first visit to Dr Firth’s office made me wish we had gone there first. Completely professional, courteous, caring and efficient. Every single person, every single visit, every single phone call. I have never felt like I was bothering anyone, and people practically fall over themselves to accommodate us. \r \r Besides that, Jack’s teeth have moved so quickly already….it’s hard to imagine. My mother took my niece here to finish up her braces because they just moved here from CA. They were quoted a price (in writing) of $160 per month and were told that it would likely take 6 months or less. Today my mother took my niece to her scheduled appointment. She had to take my niece out of school early. Upon her arrival, she learned that the appointment had been cancelled, but they never called her to cancel the appointment. They called my mother later in the day and told her that the braces would cost almost $1,400 even though they previously said it would only be around $960 or less. I would never deal with this doctor or his office again. How unprofessional. Pros: None! Cons: Cancel appts without notice; lie about pricing more
