Kind, compassionate care 9/22/2009

We absolutely loved this Banfield because of the great, compassionate, caring nature of the two male vets. I wish I could remember their names, but now that we've moved cross-country, I'm lucky I can remember to post this review! I think one vet was named Dr. Juan and the other vet was a portly gentleman. We never liked the female vet here because she had a very poor bed-side manner. The two male vets did a fantastic job of taking care of our German Shepherd and Australian Kelpie. They always did thorough examinations and truly sought to determine the cause of any illnesses. We did not join the wellness plan and do not regret that decision. We never got any kind of pressure from anyone to join. more

Very Friendly, Prompt Service 2/17/2009

Had a great time here and my dog actually made friends with the staff. They were very helpful and answered questions that I had. We are about to have our follow check up and I feel great about it. more

so far not happy 5/11/2008

we have had a dog a few months. when i walked in to banfield, 95 percent of the first visit was spent on a very high pressure sales talk into the plan. \r i do not recommend. although i signed up because i felt cornered.\r now, my dog is not acting right, and i called them - the message says they are closed - SAYS NOTHING about when they are open. plus i havent yet that on the web but will look again. more

No surprise charges. Totally convenient. Great Vets! 2/18/2008

I have two dogs on Banfield's wellness plans. I never get charged when I go to the vet and I can go as often as they need. I take them twice a year for what we call "spa" days -- I drop them off at 8 am and pick them up at 6 pm. They've had their shots, I pay $8 to clip their nails, and then we go home after having paid nothing for the vet services. I do pay for my dog's thyroid medicine (at a discount) but all the shots and visits up till now have been included in my monthly fee. I've never had one of those surprises where the visit cost $400 unplanned out of my family budget like at traditional vets. In fact, one of my dogs needed major surgery a while back and the cost difference between the emergency regular vet we took her to originally and Banfield saved us $4,000. We paid only $1,200 and it saved her life. Banfield Rocks! more

Corporate incompetence 9/13/2007

Vets are OK, but administratively, this place is FUBAR! My dog was late for nearly every vaccination and booster shot, because in spite of being part of their "plan", I was never notified when shots were due. Even the vet admitted the outrageous inadequacy and reduced my charges on one visit. I complained every time about expired vaccines and they're never informing me when to bring my dog in. Expired vaccines meant having to repeat otherwise unnecessary tests, which added to the expense. After two years of this kind of "service", I quit going there and cancelled my payments for the plan. Banfield's response was to deny any responsibility and send my bill to a parasitic collection agency called IC System, introducing me to my first ever negative hit on my credit rating. Thanks Banfield, you money-grubbing whores. more

Major Mistake 2/7/2007

Really over priced compared to a walkin vet. the plan sounds great but when you visit, they keep adding more and more that are not covered, between test and meds. a simple neuter that we were told was covered is costing us more every visit. The puppy was is great health, and checked a week before,, the vet screwed up, and its costing us because the additional treatment and meds are not covered.Do Not use Banfield. I would never subject my pet to that kind of service and discomfort again... more

Over inflated and unnecessary charges 1/4/2007

I joined the wellness plan, was talked into the best plan, and each time I took my dog for illnesses I was charged for every little thing and tests were ordered that were not needed sometimes they would run the same tests in a span of a few days and got charged even more for same blood work. They suggested very expensive tests and procedures and when I shopped around I found that the same test could had for a lot less. The vets were nice but overzealous, the regular staff not very organized and poorly trained, they seem more concerned with loading up charges than doing want is honest and prudent. more

My Cat Didnt want to leave! 3/31/2006

My cat wasn't feeling too good, so I decided to try out Banfield's Pet Hospital..and its a good thing I did! The hospital staff were friendly, the vet was very knowledgeable and professional..and my cat didn't want to leave! I would definitely visit this hospital again. PROS: extremely comforting atmosphere, friendly, professionals CONS: crowded..but there's a reason for that ;) more

Great vets and staff! 5/27/2005

Banfield Pet Hospital is conveniently located in the Pet Smart store in the seven corners area. It has been such a great place for us to take our dog. The staff is friendly and Dr. Juan is the best. We are always glad to be able to get our pup in for a checkup or a sick visit. This hospital plan has many affordable payment plans. It is so great to know that we just have to pay a monthly fee and we have all of our services provided! I would hightly recommend them and so glad my friend told me about them. more
