The best pizza in town and in my neighborhood! If they delivered, I'd have to open a tab. The crust is cracker thin and just as crisp. The sauce is light on the tomato, which allows you to taste everything else. Excellent sausage. This is Wisconsin so the cheeses are blended perfectly. A great flavorfrom a traditional pizza. I grew up in Milwaukee and now I am traveling the world. I also have tried the pizza's through out europe, but when I returned home for a visit I ate at my high school pizza place and once again remembered what I was missing. THE best pizza in Milwaukee, hands down. Toppings are plentiful. Sausage is well-seasoned, not over spiced or too garlicky. Only problem is the wait on busy nights. more

Daddy knew best 11/1/2002

My parents used to take us to eat at Balistreris when my sister and I were little. It was the epitome of Italian dining, straight out of a scene in the 'Godfather' is how I can best describe it. The food was incredible and we always had a great time. After living in Texas for 20 years, I'm so pleased to find this place still open and as awesome as it was back then! This place ROCKS! more

i almost fell asleep 5/31/2002

i have to say, this pizza is the best we have had in a long while. with good pizzarias(hope i spelled that right) in short supply here in milwaukee, this one is great on taste! the only drawback on them is that it took over 1/2 hour to get our pizza. with 2 kids, that spells trouble, but once we got it, the wait was worth it!!!
