After recieving a mailing offering a free oil change and taking my car in, the owner had his wife call me and tell me that my car needed a new timing belt immediately. I informed her that we would take it to our family mechanic and have hiim check it out. A few hours later I went to pick it up and the owner himself, Robert, warned me that he would not recommend driving my car because it looked like my timing belt had never been replaced and it needed to be done immediately. Little did they both know my timing belt had been replaced within the last 3,000 miles. A short time for something that is generally replaced every 60,000 miles or so. When called on it, Robert tried to retract the entire story. I was looking for a mechanic for my LS400 and came across Autobahn on Citysearch. I brought my car in for a full treatment--almost all of the fluids changed. His prices were extremely reasonable, especially when compared with the dealer. He is very knowledgeable about all the cars he services, as well as the products he puts in them. Autobahn is one of the best kept secrets in Raleigh. I was having some problems with my Honda so I walked in one afternoon for an estimate. Robert knew exactly what the problem was and was able to fit me in the next day. His price was half what I was quoted by the dealer.
