Two thumbs up?? Nearly half-a-million miles logged on my two vehicles and both have run perfectly under the care of Auburn Foreign Car. Latest visit in my 13+ year affiliation with these folks was last week. I was impressed once again with their attention to detail, clear and thorough communication, and outstanding diagnostic and repair work. Over the years, I have never once needed a second opinion, a re-do by somebody else, or a course in anger management after dealing with this outfit. I figure that if I am shelling out my hard-earned cash, a merchant had better deserve to have it. AFC deserves to have it more

OUTSTANDING SERVICE-PRICE-WORK!!!?? We had gone to another shop to have our transmission repaired. We were quoted one price and then they did a bait and switch and bumped up the cost $600.00 more than the original quote. Then I called Auburn Foreign Car and they did the job for the price they quoted (which was far below the price of the original quote from the first shop). They kept great communication throughout the entire job and repaired the transmission to better than new. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone. They did a great job, had a great price, and had outstanding customer service! more

These guys are great! I have been bringing my cars here since 1985. I have always had wonderful service. The company I work for started using this shop for the Fleet Service, and have been very happy. Our fleet manager told me it is good to find a shop that is honest, and stands behind their work. more

Auburn Foreign and Domestic - true pros 10/11/2010

As a woman I have always been cautious about where I take my car for service. Luckily, a friend suggested Auburn Foreign and Domestic. I have been taking my car their for several years and they have never disappointed me. They are professional and on time. Their work is guaranteed and they explain every part of the process clearly. On top of that, they never talk down to me and they always wash and vacuum my car. I could not recommend them more. more

Quality Service You Can Trust 10/5/2010

I have been taking my BMW 530 I to Auburn Foreign and Domestic car for several years now. I do not work on my own cars and when I first bought my BMW I was worried about finding a company that I could trust. Luckily, a friend recommended me to Auburn Foreign and Domestic car. From the very first experience the people at this company worked hard to explain every part of the process and make me feel comfortable with trusting my BMW to them. I would give them more stars if I could. It has been such a relief to find a high quality, reputable company to work on my car. They are also fairly priced and will explain what needs to be done with your automobile clearly. I use them for my foreign car, however, when I found out they work on domestics as well, I have referred many of my friends and family to them for work as well. Great service! 10/2/2010

I have been a customer for about ten years. I always receive honest, prompt, courteous service. I am told what repairs cost up front, what can wait, and what is urgent. The facility is very clean and the waiting area is comfortable. I can get a ride to work and they're within walking distance of my house. I often drop off my car the night before and drop my keys in the door slot. We have two nearly identical cars we have serviced here and they always keep them straight. I recommend AFC to all my friends - even those without foreign cars! more

If you want the best for your car and your family then Auburn Foreign Car is your place! Our family has been going here for 10 years and my husband had reservations about going at first until he dealt with the TEAM there. Honest.trustworthy,considerate,acurate and genuially nice people, is what you too will experience for yourself when you go there! Oh and talk about clean,most peoples houses aren't that clean! Wait till you see the waiting area,you will feel like you been invited into the owners home!!! more

Incredible customer service! 10/1/2010

4:30 on Friday afternoon, my truck suddenly started making an ominous ?clunking? noise. I called Jerry at Auburn Foreign Car and explained the problem. I didn?t feel safe driving it all weekend, not knowing what was wrong, but I had to work on Saturday. Jerry told me to bring it in and gave me a loaner car, free of charge, for the weekend. On Monday, they diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts, but the work couldn?t be completed until Tuesday after I left for work. So, I picked up my truck on Wednesday. In addition to replacing the ball joints, my truck had been washed and vacuumed. \r Another time, I took my truck in for a brake job. It was going to take several hours but I didn?t have anyone who could give me a ride. One of the staff at Auburn Foreign Car quickly volunteered. Great Service! 9/29/2010

My husband has been having his vehicles serviced at Auburn Foreign Car since 1979, when he bought his brand new Toyota truck. Thirty-one years and 300,000+ miles later it still runs. I've been taking my vehicles to AFC for about 18 years. We really believe in the service and advice Greg and his crew have provided over the years. It is evident at every visit that customer satisfaction is top priority. more

What can I say but good things about AFC? 9/23/2010

The shop is family owned, which generates a very comfortable setting and personal touch to their service. The employees have personally gotten to know myself and other customers as I have witnessed. And they're business ethics have helped kept me a regular visitor! I can't even begin to explain how clean this shop is compared to others. They provide above and beyond what I expect from an automotive shop. I have nothing but good things to say about AFC. more

Not what they used to be 7/31/2010

This place was really helpful and affordable years ago when I would take problems I couldn't solve on my own there. Recently, however, we took a car in and they wanted $323 for front pads and $205 for the AC and steering belts. When we declined, we got attitude. The belts took me 10 minutes and cost me $45. The brakes cost me $90 after machining the rotors. I figure it would take them an hour to do both jobs max. Even if they paid full retail (which they don't) for parts and machining, that would be about $400/hr shop fee. Ummm No thank you! more

I do my own smaller repairs (eg. oil, brakes, belts, etc.) but anything bigger and I always take it to Auburn Foreign Cars. They might be a little on the expensive side but they are honest and straightforward about price, do a great job of explaining anything and everything you want to know, and are even happy to give you a tip or two about your own repairs. They also stand behind their 2 year warranty. I had a starter die 4 months after they replaced it and they paid for the tow and the second repair no questions asked, I didn't have to do a thing! I have been bringing both my 95 BMW and wife's 90 Suburu in for 7 years now and do not have a single complaint! more

A stand up company with great service 7/24/2009

I've taken my jeep in for major and minor service and they have done a great job. In addition, my son has a 1999 Audi A4 with a "dealership" warranty. The warranty company has been rude and belligerent to myself and the crew at Auburn Foreign & Domestic regarding some transmission repairs that should be covered. These guys have been the absolute best and have gone above and beyond in my opinion to make sure the proper and necessary repairs are made (and fighting on our behalf with the warranty company). \r \r They are a stand-up company and will do the right thing. Thank you and you can bet I will refer everyone I know to them! more

My husband and I have been taking our vehicles to Auburn Auto for years since we moved to this area. We won't let anyone even change our oil except the service technicians. The customer service is exemplary, the personnel are amiable and very polite and professional, and the owner, Greg Hochhalter will make all efforts possible to communicate with you about your car and suggest the best ways to fix it. I feel they are very honest and competent people. I am always recommending their business to other people.\r \r We have a Honda Civic and and Acura and take very good care of our cars. When I had a particularly difficult problem with my Acura, Greg and his staff took a lot of time to research, diagnose, and repair problems.\r \r The business is so organized and exceptionally clean.\r \r This business is ASE-certified and AAA approved. I even checked the Better Business Bureau for ratings, and it was an AAA+!\r \r We are always treated with the utmost of courtesy. These people will go the extra m more

quality work at fair price 12/24/2008

I have taken several different cars to them. From simple things like an oil change to major engine repairs. I have always been pleased with the work and price. They always have maintained a great level of communication with me when major repairs are being completed. I also really appreciate their sense of community. It seems like every weekend in the summer they allow different groups to hold car washes at their building. more
