I absolutely love atomic records. They have one of the best selections of new music on vinyl and a rather large collection of used CDs at very fair prices. You can find so many artists that you cant find anywhere else so it is deffinately worth your time to stop in. If you're looking for something rare give them a call if they don't have it they can usually order it. more

An east side landmark..... 9/14/2005

I have been shopping at Atomic for as long as I can remember...since high school. At that point, their used CD collection was of great interest to me, because it was cheaper. They also saw me through my obsessive Tori Amos phase, where I would go in and spend way too much money on bootlegs. I have always had a great experience here and the staff is really helpful. You can always count on Atomic to have the latest "buzzworthy" music. more

Well-rounded independent record store 8/12/2005

Atomic records had a wide variety of media for the audiophile. They have used and new CDs, DVDs, new vinyl, and a decent used vinyl selection. Your best bet is to check the dollar record bins on a regular basis, as stock varies. Staff is fairly knowledgeable and fairly friendly. You'll find prices are $2 to $4 more than you'll find at the Exclusive Company (a competing independent record shop) and considerably more expensive than you might find at the "big box" stores or Amazon. But that's the price you pay for supporting the little guy. more
