Long Time Customer 4/15/2010

I posted here about 3 years ago and have been using this kennel ever since. I go out of town a ton and my pets and I always have a great experience there. \r \r If you go there and actually talk to the owners, you will find them to be great people with a wonderful family there (and I mean their employees too).\r \r My dogs love it there and I see it every time I drop them off and pick them up. If you really wonder about them, go see them. They will welcome you and greet you like family. more

Do NOT board your dogs here... 8/11/2009

This was the second time we've used Atlanta Pet Resort. The first time was only for a few hours, and we had no problems with them. We left our 2 dogs again for 5 days. When we picked them up, the staff handed us their dog beds filthy and with the covers off. One of our dogs had severe diarrhea for 3 days after she came home. The other, who is pretty resilient to everything, has seemed frightened since we've brought her home (over a week) and not her normal self at all. We have left them for longer periods of time at different places, and I have never seen them act this way. I'm not sure what happened while they were there, but I know it definitely was not pleasant or comfortable. We also didn't realize until the day we had to drop them off, that they don't even take your dogs out of the run at all, unless you pay extra for 15 minutes of playtime with other dogs. We of course paid for the playtime, since we didn't want them locked in the run all week. We will never take them there again more

Puppy Paradise 8/25/2007

This was the first visit for my 2 dogs to the Atlanta Pet Resort. They stayed for almost 2 weeks. I was very concerned about their stay because they are not normally good eaters when we go on vacation, but I was pleasantly surprised when I picked them up and they had not lost any weight. They got a playtime every day and a bath just before we picked them up. They smelled great and looked great, too. I'm so happy that we found them. My puppies will never stay anywhere else. THANK YOU Atlanta Pet Resort. more

We have used the Atlanta Pet Resort for years and have always received top quality care. Everyone there is always friendly and we are usually greated by an owner who always goes the extra mile for us and Jake. more

Day Care Love 2/3/2007

I leave my pet at Atlanta Pet Resort for day care every week and board him there at least once a month. He loves it there. Whenever we get in the car to go there, he gets really excited and he can't wait to get out of the car to play with all of his buddies. The staff really loves pets there and you can see it in the eyes of dogs like mine by how excited they are when the get there. more

Five Star PLUS !! 2/2/2007

Being new to the area and required to travel quite a bit, I needed to find a reputable and reliable boarding facility for my fur-family.\r \r After reading some of the reviews, I was not sure what to expect, so I went in for an unannounced tour. Having traveled so much in the past, I have experienced a lot of kennels from Colorado to Illinois, and feel I have a rather critical eye (and nose) when touring kennels. I must say, my first impression was MOST favorable. The lobby is clean, airy, open and there is not any hint of "kennel air" or unpleasant fake scents to try and mask odors.\r \r I was warmly greeted by a manager, and when I inquired about the owners, I was informed that one of their parents had just passed, and they were attending the funeral services. Okay, I can understand that the owners would not be present at their business - HELL, I would have probably closed my doors for a few days -- but that would have left many people very disappointed, and the managers seemed more

Always a good time 2/2/2007

I have been going to the Atlanta Pet Resort for a number of years and love it. My pet is always welcomed. Greeted by friendly staff and the owners were there to show me around. Playtimes are always a treat and Bailey loves to get a bath at the end of her stay. She is always happy when she comes home. \r I would and do recommend the Atlanta Pet Resort to all of my friends and to co-workers too. more

Promises not kept 12/27/2006

We have tried different places to board our dog previously and were satisfied with most of them. This time we wanted something special. Two potty walks and playtime sounded great. So we spent that extra money hoping that our dog would have a good time while we were having fun without her.\r \r What a rude awakening, when I came to pick her up.\r As soon as I opened the door I noticed that bad smell of urine. Several dogs were barking constantly. The owners were nowhere to be seen. (Well, it was past 5 pm on December 27 and they can't expected to be there all the time, however, they should know what's going on when they are not there!) \r \r There were only two employees present (visible). One of them went to get my dog. When she came back she had my dog's bed in a plastic bag. Urine was dripping out of it. My car smelled terribly all the way back. My dog is potty trained and usually doesn't go potty more than twice a day. \r \r When I came home, I had to wash the bed and give the dog a bath more

Not convinced yet 9/9/2006

I have used then kennel several times. There have been no serious problems other than my dog was extremely tired after the first long 4 day visit. My only expectation of a kennel is that they do what they say they are going to do and what I am paying for. I have not gotten a 'warm and fuzzy' feeling from the owners that this is what I am getting. So far, they have shown far more concern for the money they get then the customer service they provide. I was told by the owner on the first visit that I would receive a detailed account of how my dog did at the kennel in terms of feeding and play times but when I came to pick up my dog, the owner acted like she didn't know what I was talking about when I asked if my dog ate all her food. I found out later that the kennel did not use the food I provided on the first visit as they said they would. They still had the bag of food two visits later! So don't bother to bring your dog's food if it isn't medically necessary. In fact, this would probab more

A true resort! 11/18/2005

It is never fun to have to leave your pet behind when you go on vacation, but Atlanta Pet Resort makes it easier. Our dog is like a family member and we wanted to make sure she was well cared for. This great boarding facility is climate controlled and they have 2 playtimes and 2 potty walks per day. You don't have to worry about your furry friends being left in the cold or just caged up and not cared for properly. They even offer a walk through inspection so you can feel completely comfortable before dropping off. Highly recommended! more
