There is nowhere else that will serve up such large portions of delicious food for prices so low! I don't live in Boston anymore, so I have to eat at extremely second-rate Qdoba i...

After hearing all the rave reviews of this place, I finally got to try it for myself. As a VIVA BURRITO devotee, I was interested comparing them for myself. There is no compariso...

Incredbile Value 5/21/2005

Whenever you can find a delicious meal for <$4, you have found a great place and that is what can be found at Anna's. Anna's are located around Boston and possibly elsewhere although I'm not sure exactly where (I have only been to the Brookline and Cambridge stores). Sometimes the pace of the employees is so rushed (it has to be to keep up w/ the demand) that it is hard to tell what you are actually ordering. Ordering can be an art that needs mastering there. Also, their default bean is a kidney but I would recommend requesting the black beans in your burrito. Make sure to ask for eveything you want because they sometimes don't ask specifics and assume you want it plain if you don't ask for the sour cream, salsa, hot sauce, etc. Oh and BEWARE vegetarians, the rice is cooked in chicken broth! Pros: Value, Taste, Speed Cons: Rushed Service, Poor English more

I LOVE ANNA'S!!!! 3/14/2005

I honestly do not know how it is possible for people to say that Anna's is bad. Anna's is by far the best burrito I have ever had. A one time hater of Mexican (the food-not the people) Anna's reformed me. Since my first taste of the AMAZING super chicken, I have been on a hunt for a burrito as tasty as Anna's. It cannot be done. I will be moving to NYC soon and I don't know how I'm going to handle it. I don't expect to ever find a burrito as good--(short of being in Mexico I suppose.) The juices, hot sauce and guac settled at the bottom... mmmm, the best part. I think it's close to being one of the best (and cheapest!) things I've ever eaten. more

Dissappointing. 2/20/2005

All of my friends recommended going to Anna's so I was really looking forward to it. The first time that I went I bought 2 tacos, a veggie on and a chicken one. They were tasteless and I was very dissappointed. Next visit I got a steak super burrito. The meat was scooped out of a bin and was pretty tasteless as was the rest of the burrito. I have been very dissappointed with Anna's. Even if the prices are good, I still say it isn't worth it. more

Dreaming of a Super Burrito 10/25/2004

I am appalled that there are people out there who could even think about giving Anna's an unsatisfactory review (re=dry, salty carnitas??? What???) 5 years after relocating to NYC, my friends and I still make trips to Beantown.. not for the fall foliage or the Charles River but for Anna's. Have you ever driven 8 hours (roundtrip) in one day for a Burrito? I have, it's worth it. No other place can do what Anna's does. Where to begin? The meat is so tender, juicy, tasty. The attention to detail makes the difference. The burrito wraps are fresh and steamed while the cheese is melted perfectly. The rice has the perfect texture and please, extra hot sauce. It's all so very delicious. The other aspects (friendly quick service and value) are perks. The food brings you back. I'm drooling on my keyboard; gonna have to make road trip this weekend. Pros: Food , Inexpensive, Friendly staff more

Not true mexican 6/21/2004

anna is good for what it is, cheap burritos and shysty quesadillas, THIS IS NOT MEXICAN FOOD, it is a quick, cheap burrito. I dont understand how it could win best mexican, when they only have 4 things on the menu!!! if you want mexican you better off anywhere that has a menu, some Taco stand in Socal even have more diversity. Pros: cheap more

VERY Good 11/30/2003

I've been going to Anna's for years, and I find it to be just as good today as it was 4 years ago. At Anna's you watch someone create your food in front of you. I find they put the right proportions of meat, veggies, beans, etc. into burritos/quesadillas, but if you think something looks amiss, say so before they roll it up and they'll fix it. The food tastes great, a single burrito and I'm full, AND unlike most good tasting fast food, you can easily eat without packing on 60+ grams of fat, if you so choose. (That being said, if you DO choose, it's very easy to overorder, and then overeat because everything's so yummy.) Also, despite the hordes of people that sometimes flock to Anna's, the line always moves at a steady pace. I do prefer to do take-out as opposed to eat in, though. Pros: flavorful, non-greasy, pricing, line moves quickly Cons: eat-in atmosphere more

Anna's gone Downhill 8/2/2003

5 years ago Anna's was great! Now they give you LESS meat, salsa, and other key ingredients. Also, you can get the exact same thing 5 days in a row and pay a different price each time. Strange. Disgruntled employees dont help! Cons: inconsistent, less food, digruntled employees more

Anna's Taqueria 7/23/2003

There is hardly a day that goes by without me eating at Anna's. I love this place, great food, great value! Cons: no beer more

What is the fuss? 6/29/2003

Okay, the service isn't that bad - about like McDonald's. It's fast food, so I'm not going there for that. The Burritos just aren't very good though. They are basically average, fast food style burritos - about on par with Taco Bell. They fill you up, they don't taste ""bad"", but they have no real flavor. All in all, avoid the lines and avoid the hype - I honestly have no idea why this became something bigger than a neighborhood burrito shop. more

Why bother, save your tie... 5/19/2003

Who cares if its cheap. You'll need the money you saved to pay the dry cleaning bill from the food that got splattered on you. Burittos were flavorless and very heavy. I'm sure it was good at one time, but that must have been a long time ago... Cons: food, service more

You Get What You Pay For 5/15/2003

The food here isn't very good. Hard to say what the fuss is all about other than it's cheap. The meat in the burritos is chewy and flavorless and there aren't many beans or cheese. This is essentially college cafeteria style Mexican and the only reason it's popular is that many former students seeking to relive their college experience line up in droves to be treated rudely by the people doling out slop. Like they say you get what you pay for, which isn't much! Cons: food, ambience, service more

Best Food Around! 3/21/2003

Anna's Taqueria is a great eat. They have the best cheap Mexican food around. Althogh the atmospher is not superb the taste of the food makes up for it. The price also is a big advantage of going to Anna's Taqueria. more

Good eats 2/17/2003

This place is great. Clean, fast, cheap and delicious. Oops! Lets not forget generous amount for the money. Kids love it too. If its crwded, don't worry, it goes fast. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: parking more

Not worth the hype 2/7/2003

Anna's Taqueria just isn't as good as people say. The food is mediocre at best, and many things are just dripping in grease. Also, not the bargain people seem to say it is. I'm not at all impressed. more

AWESOME 2/7/2003

this is the best burrito that i have ever had in my life!!! you always stand in line, but do not get discouraged!! it takes about 10 seconds after you order to get your burrito!! i would also recommend getting the chips and salsa~ sooo very good!!! more

Californian Objection 2/7/2003

In my opinion, Anna's pathetic attempt to recreate authentic Mexican fare is laughable. Having lived for a time in Southern California, I have experienced real Mexican food, and this comes nowhere close. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. more

Good find for a tourist 2/7/2003

Good, Fast, Cheap. Food is tasty, hot, and cheaper than the usual fast food joints. Lots of working people there for lunch and the line moved very fast. I'll stop in at Anna's on my next trip to Boston. more

Annas is soo good! 2/1/2003

It's the best place to go for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sometimes there's a line out the door, but it moves quickly. The people who make the food work very fast. 5 bucks for a a huge meal plus a medium drink. Warning: It's a addictive...but soo good. You'll thank me later. Pros: inexpensive, fast service, good atmoshere Cons: bad parking, crowded more

Not the Greatest 1/27/2003

I was quite dissapointed with Anna's. I had heard so much about it, and found the burritos dry and not very tasty. Definently does not compare to the average California burrito, nor the far superior burritos of el pelon and burrito max. Pros: fast Cons: bad taste more

""wicked Awesome Burritos"" 1/16/2003

if you are in a hurry and are starving and want the best burritos in the world for cheap...Anna's is the place to go. The Guac is to die for, and you can be more than full with a mere $4..they aren't messing around there, you better know what you want when its your turn to order! Quick, Cheap, Delicious, Filling..addictive! Pros: Cheap, Fast, Delicious more
