Best

The best chili and chicken sandwich in the state of Georgia if you ask me. Perfect place to go either by yourself or with some friends, sit out on the deck and have a drink along...

Worst

This is a real cheesy bar w/ low class crowd....yes a camero crowd. It's really gone down hill. Used to have 2 bikini contests and bands on Sun. Good thing is that it's the o...

tactless and terrible 10/7/2007

this is quite plain and simply the worst customer service I've ever received. To be escorted to the door by a loser manager after making a complaint about one of the waitresses is the most degrading and sobering experience I've had in a good long time. In Atlanta I am a local celebrity who just got signed to an indie label and they messed with the wrong twisted sister. They have NO idea just who I am, how much money I just made and how livid my lawyer will be when I meet him for lunch tomorrow. This place is so terrible I could only see it applying to horny guys and underage girls. Pros: hot women who look like prostitutes and funny bartenders Cons: the poor, terrible, horrible, embarrassing management more

Cheesy and Sleezy 7/18/2007

This place is like a sports bar/ wannabe night club. It needs an updo, the place looks as if it were stuck in the 90s and the music also reflects that. If you don't go on a Sunday it's really not worth going at all. The busiest day of the week is Sunday..day crowd is full of bikers, and night is a mix of middle-aged men as well as a slightly younger crowd. This is a place for trashy people, where anything goes. The waitresses wear next to nothing, and the crowd is usually pretty loud and obnoxious. I wouldn't recommend going here to meet people unless you are a biker or are looking for a trashy one-night stand. Pros: lots of tvs for sports fans, big crowds on Sundays Cons: lousy food, trashy more

bartenders work towards your tip not against it. 5/31/2007

I would go there with some friends once a week.. Used to like it until one of the bar tenders was very rude. more

yuck 1/21/2006

I went there recently over the holidays to meet some old high school friends mainly because that was the only place that has been around and everyone knew where it was. Well I'm really not sure why it has been around as long as it has unless they have some kind of money scheme going on behind the scenes. The service sucked and the atmosphere was down right cheesy and scary. If you want to see the ugliness of the area head on down. The outfits the waitresses wear-yikes some of them really should be wearing more clothes or go on a diet. I will never be back. more

Great Food 5/18/2005

The best chili and chicken sandwich in the state of Georgia if you ask me. Perfect place to go either by yourself or with some friends, sit out on the deck and have a drink along with something to eat. The staff is great and the management is always on top of things. Worry free evening! Pros: Inexpensive, Great Food, good workers Cons: N/kids pst. 6 on wknd, Traffic on Roswell Rd more

Cheesy but only game in town 1/1/2003

This is a real cheesy bar w/ low class crowd....yes a camero crowd. It's really gone down hill. Used to have 2 bikini contests and bands on Sun. Good thing is that it's the only place you can go on a Sun afternoon or Sunday night. Atlanta has no other Sat or Sun afternoon bars to hangout at. Pros: Sunday night, Sunday afternoon, bikini contest? Cons: low class, lousy food, no bands more

Give me bore American Pie!!!!!!!! 12/30/2002

The American Pie is a great place for spending a Sunday afternoon, but at night let the partying begin! Plenty of women that are for the most part friendly and easy to talk to. Its a great place to hang out and not have to deal with the stuck up, superficial crowd that we are all familiar with in the buckhead scene. The music is also fun and easy to dance to, ( hope you like hip - hop and techno). American Pie is a great place and more clubs/restaurants need to follow there lead. Pros: beautiful women, open til' 4am, no fights ever ! Cons: crowded, alot of techno, long lines more

ok....... 12/25/2002

I ahve to admit- I was warned by the hotel concierge not to go, especially on Sunday. He was right! Enter dance club/sports bar/patio/lounge/hooters- and then add a cover charge and no place to sit. bathrooms are impossible to get to, and lets face it guys..when there is a longer line for the men's room than the women's...well, you get the picture. Short pours on drinks, overpriced shots...best to stay home! Pros: singles scene Cons: poor service, inconsistancy more

kind of...scary? 10/7/2002

American Pie tries to be a restaurant, sports bar, and dance club all at one time and doesn't really pull it off. The dance floor (which is miniscule) is full of guys looking to grab and grope anyone that walks by, so watch out! It's definitely a good place to meet people, but depending on what kinds of people you want to meet, be on your guard! If you sit outside, you can watch guys drool over the half-naked waitresses serving them. If you're looking to get intoxicated and party the night away, it can be done here, but just as easily you may find yourself leaving early because of the not-so-wonderful atmosphere. Pros: free parking, good service, young crowd Cons: bad atmosphere, lousy dance floor, old crowd more

don't try to be something you're not... 9/24/2002

this is a sports bar. it trys to be a dance club. it doesn't work. there are lots of tv's which is nice, but seating stinks for the big screens. the food is as you might expect from a sports bar...the chips and salsa i had would have been better tasting if i bought some tostitos and pace picante. it was crap. the drinks are also very short...short glassed and short pours...i'll keep looking. more

Pass the cheesy please 7/22/2002

I was not impressed at all with the place. We went on a Friday night after 11pm and it was kind of dead. Then around 1p when we decided to leave it was still kind of dead. A calipso group was playing music on the deck that you couldn't dance to and no one was and inside the d.j. was playing trance music (disco/dance mix) where only the very young girls were dancing by them selves on the dance floor and the "pedestals" for the men at the bar to watch. Very cheesy. Pros: quiet Cons: cheesy more

Editorial
  • The Scene
The '80s band Poison once said, "Ain't lookin' for nothin', but a good time," and indeed, the spirit of the glam band lives on at American Pie. Plastic palm trees, draped in bright, eye-scorching lights, radiate over Roswell Road and an enormous outdoor deck. Inside, the sprawling venue is a quintessential meat market with young, lustful singles crowding into the lodge-like wooden bar. An '80s-era dance floor offers minimal space for late-night bumping and grinding. Scattered televisions broadcast the latest in sports; a billiards room in the back delivers a more chilled-out vibe.

    The Draw
There's something to be said for a night of trashy, over-the-top fun. Wet T-shirt contests and busty waitresses in tight T's and minis lure in the mostly male crowd. Girls who enjoy receiving cheesy pick-up lines and showing off their assets feel right at home. When warmer weather hits, the outdoor deck overflows with beach-themed parties. Let the debauchery begin.
