My husband and I were devastated when our new 2010 Camry was damaged on the side of the car. It's always been parked at the side of the street and we've never had any problems. It's been less than a year of ownership and nonetheless, we were stressed about the inevitable repairs and of course the expected bill. Well we were finding out places on the internet and happened to see that the majority of the reviews were all negative, none to our surprise of course. However, this repair shop garnered the most positive reviews. We were a little skeptic at first and since my husband was at work and I'm 5 months pregnant, I decided to take the risk and go to someone with positive reviews. Well we couldn't have been more happier and satisfied! more

I was referred to Direct Drive by another Auto shop to get my car's AC fixed few years ago. After going to the Ford dealer two times costing me $1600 and it is still broke after few months, I was skeptic when they quoted me $800 to fix it. The owner explained to me the reason it is so much is because he is giving me new parts. Now is four years later, my AC is still working. :) With time, I can see they were honest with me. more

I reviewed them in Google, but figured I should also add it here....After doing research and price quoting for a good auto repair shop in Brooklyn (my two must haves: good price and good reviews), I found Direct Drive and am glad I did. The owner (Naum) was very open and honest about what needed to be done. He even said that I could use his computer to compare prices if I felt he was over charging. The fact is, his prices are very reasonable. On top of giving me attention as a customer, he went to a near by store and bought me coffee (though the price of a cup of coffee is cheap, the gesture was extremely nice). The mechanic (Sammy) worked on our car with care and was quick (I was able to watch his whole operation). Bottom line, the job was done well; and just as important, I was treated with respect and made comfortable. Naum went as far as explaining why and what was being done (I'm not very car savvy, so having him explain and even take me to the car to see the issues at hand was important). I'll definitely go there if future repairs are ever needed. How many businesses can you go to and leave knowing everyone's names. (side note: they do not accept credit cards, so bring your check book) Pros: Honest, friendly, trusting, great prices. Cons: No credit cards. more

My car was in a car accident and was badly damaged (the insurance company appraised the damaged car as a total loss). I?ve been servicing my car with Naum for the last 8 years, since I?ve bought it as a used car in 2003. So when the car had to be towed from the place of accident I did not have to think twice where to go. Naum let me keep my car in his shop for a week waiting for the insurance appraisal. The repairs took about a week ? exactly as he promised and about $300 less than the initial rough estimate. The car runs the same as before and I am completely satisfied with all the repairs and painting that have been done. I have never had a problem with this shop! As others mentioned it is difficult to find an honest mechanic. I?m lucky because I found one. I know that I can trust Naum ? he honestly tells what parts need to be replaced and which ones can still be left in place for a good period of time. Come and check it out for yourself! I tried this center the first time: the car needed an emergency service (the message ""Service the engine soon"" flashed and it was a problem to drive the car far to my usual repair center). more

I took my 2000 Grand Marquis to this shop which was recommended by a freind for an electrical problem that the dealer's service could not find Naum found it within 2 minutes and replaced the part costing me much less than the dealer had told me it would probably be. I searched Internet for a good auto body shop in Brooklyn, and I found this place with ten good reviews. I decided to give it a try. I am so glad for this decision! the owner Nakhman is such a nice person, he is very honest and friendly. he called the dealer and told us that by showing his name card to the dealer, we can get a discount price for the parts we needed. we went to the dealer, and we did get the parts with a much lower price than the retailed price we usually paid for! we are so happy for that! Pros: efficient, honest, professional and very friendly! Cons: none! more

I came in not knowing what was broken. they inspected my van and told me exactly what was wrong and fixed it in no time. Tune-ups. very reasonable prices, friendly staff! also a body shop too and i got my glass replaced in the same visit. i recommend 100%. Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

I've been taking my VW Passat to Naum and his crew for over two years now and feel I have made new friends! These guys are so friendly and helpful. They take time to explain the problem and tell you what needs to happen to fix it. Naum just doesn't just call up the dealer if your car needs a new part, he'll call all all around to find the cheapest price possible. They get the work done in a timely manner and even give rides to and from the shop. Naum is a great guy and Direct Drive is your best bet! I have a 1995 Audi that is temperamental, to put it mildly. Have taken to Naum and his team on several occasions now, and they provide quick assessments, explained to you very simply in layman's terms. I took a car I wanted to buy to Direct Drive Diagnostic Center. Naum answered the phone when I called and told me I could come whatever time was fitting for me. Naum had the car put on a lift and proceeded to check the car with his assistant. He asked me general questions about my plans with the car. In his office and told me the car was in good condition at the moment and pointed out troublesome areas with estimated figures on what I can expect to pay to maintain this car short term and long term.
