Alexandras Bridal Boutique

If you need bridal wear, DO NOT go to Alexandras Bridal in Fall River, MA. They stained my future sister-inlaw's dress (Rumor has it, the employees try on special order items which makes sense because it looked like an armpit stain) and of course won't admit to their faults. They have also admitted that they do not inspect dresses when they arrive in the salon. They not only have terrible service and are sketchy beyond belief, but one of their employees has tried adding us as a friend on Facebook. Creeper much? more

The owner, Fatima, is very rude & unprofessional!. She knows nothing about customer service. She's quick to blame everyone (including customers) for things that go wrong in the store; she never accepts responsibility as an owner. Once you've made your purchase, the courtesy stops. And alterations are terrible. Nothing done right. And "FREE" alterations for the bridesmaid? BIG LIE! She charges you for alterations that are never done. Save yourself the stress & aggravation & go to another store! more

The way this owner (Fatima) treated my friends, I will NEVER shop at this store. Fatima is very rude & unprofessional. She doesn't care about her customers at all. In fact, she's quick to blame them for any mistakes that her store makes (and the store makes a lot!). Alterations are terrible. And bridesmaids were suppose to have ""FREE"" alterations....BIG LIE! If you pay for alterations, shouldn't the alterations be done??? Apparently not at Alexandra's. Fatima charges for alterations & doesn't do them. And heaven forbid you refuse to pay to fix her mistakes, she will refuse to give you the dress (that you bought & paid for!) and actually call the cops on you! Save yourself the headaches & go to another store. I'm planning my wedding for next year & I WILL NOT be going to Alexandra's!!! more

I have to say that I found Alexandras Boutique to be the BEST bridal boutique around! The store is so elegant and beautiful, you feel as if you have entered a high end boutique in new york or france. A real diamond in the rough. They have the largest selection and the most beautiful wedding gowns I have seen anywhere.\r \r Customer service is of the utmost importance to every employee there. I worked with the most wonderful consultant named Shari! She was not only very patient and kind but really knew what she was doing. She was honest and sincere which I find to be very important in a consultant. She assisted me in finding my dream gown and I could not be happier. I would definetly recommend Alexandras Boutique and Shari for your consultant to anyone looking for a wedding gown or any special occasion dress. \r \r This should be your one and only stop. I went to Alexandra's to find my sisters wedding dress on Monday. The consultant was accommodating and was able to find her a dress, which she purchased that day. When she got home, she went online to show friends the dress and saw it for almost $300 dollars cheaper on Alexandra's actual website!! Feeling taken advantage of, she called the next morning (tuesday) to speak with the owner and was called back by the consultant, who informed her that the extra charge was for the experience she was given. At no point was she ever notified that there would be a 300 dollar charge for her appointment. Still unsettled she called Wednesday morning to speak with the owner, who she had to call four hours later because she got no response. The owner was irrational with no solid points as to why she cannot give her the amount posted online. She placed all the blame on the website designer who posted stock prices and the stress of expanding her business. I will never recommend this place and it upsets me that my sisters dream wedding would make her this upset. more

This place is the absolute worst bridal/prom boutique I have ever experienced. Three weeks ago I drove over an hour and a half with my mom and little sister to help her find a prom gown. Alexandras was HIGHLY recommended to us. The selection is fantastic and the dress consultants are wonderful. However, the owner is HORRIFIC and NASTY. It was one of the worst customer service experiences ever. After selecting a prom gown I made sure all the pieces were there before handing it to a consultant to package. Sure enough, when we got home and unwrapped it a back piece was missing. The shop luckily found it and was going to mail it to us. Rather than spend the $.90 cents to track the package, they mailed it in a standard envelope, with no tracking and who knows if enough postage. They are now blaming it on the post office for losing and insisting that they will find it, now that its 2 weeks before the prom. They never followed up with us and every time we called to check they said the post office never called them and it wasnt up to them anymore to help us. We now have a $350 dress, with a missing piece, and no offer of compensation. When we asked if they would pay for the missing piece to be made by a local seamstress they offered to pay $20 but not a penny more. The owner pretty much admitted that their sweat shop seamstresses work for cheap and it would only cost her under $2 to make herself. The woman is wretched and not a penny should go to this place. We were greeted immediately, and the entire process went so smoothly. The selection was great and so was the customer service. I even had help carrying the dress to my car. I bought my dress at Alexandra's and could not be happier with how everything turned out!!! Carol was my bridal consultant and she was amazing!!! I told her my budget and she didn't push any dresses over that amount. She was honest and extremely helpful! One of my bridesmaids didn't make an appointment to have her dress steamed and ready to be picked up, so the day before my wedding, Carol personally steamed and prepared the dress! My dress was gorgeous and the alterations were flawless. I also got my bridesmaid dresses here and the girls loved them!! I recommended Alexandra's to a coworker and she found her dress here and was thrilled and loved the place and people! I'm sad my wedding is over and I have no excuse to go to Alexandra's!! more

To all who have stated such high recommendations, I am happy for you. This is not always the case. My daughter and I went to Alexandra's so she could try on bridal gowns. After trying on several gowns, the saleslady repeatedly asked her to make a decision and wanted a deposit. What PRESSURE! According to a bridal magazine I read, a bride should always sleep on a decision for at least one night. I asked the saleslady the prices of the alterations, and she said she could not tell me and that the person who did the alterations was not in the store at that time. I needed this information to make a decision. We then proceeded across the street to Gilda's Bridal and after trying on several gowns, the very pleasant saleslady told my daughter to "think about it". NO PRESSURE! I had difficulty in finding a Mom's dress, so against my better judgment went to Alexandra's. To their credit, they do have some nice merchandise. I found a dress I liked. It was much too long and there was lovely detail at the hem. Fatima assured me that the hem would not look any different after alterations. This was not the case. When I picked up the gown, the bottom with most of the lovely detail was cut off and looked sloppy. I questioned the person who did the alterations, and she said that that was the best she could do. With the wedding a few weeks away, I had no choice. I did receive compliments at the wedding, but I always felt like telling the person "you should have seen it with the original bottom." Every time I look at that dress in my closet, I feel cheated. Another thing, I asked Fatima if she could order a matching shawl for my gown. She stated a price of $70.00. I went online and found a bridal salon in New York who sent the shawl to me for $35.00 --- half price. You can imagine the markup on dresses at Alexandra's. The shawl was perfect. For a wonderful experience, go to Gilda's. The people there are genuine and are eager to please. My daughter was in good hands there. Oh, and the alterations are "free" at Gilda's and wedding gowns are priced decently. I did not feel the cost of alterations there was hidden in the cost of the gown. more

I was very nervous to go dress shopping because I was afraid that my taste was not compatable with my budget. My experience at Alexandra's Bridal Boutique was wonderful. They have really beautiful, elegant dresses and a wide price range from sale dresses at $499 to over $3000. While it wasn't Kleinfields, the atmosphere upstairs was intimate and elegant, with chandeliers and couches and a lot of natural light. The dresses are well displayed, and the dresing rooms are spacious. Carol helped me and she was very honest and patient. She really listened to me and what I liked and was never pushy. She would not let me look at a dress over my budget without warning me first. I LOVE my dress and the price was well below my budget. No other shops in the area even compare to the selection and overall experience. They have the best dresses and staff here. We got the bridesmaids dresses here as well. I could not be more pleased with my experience here. more

I got married November 2009 and got my dress and my girls dresses from Alexandra's Boutique. They blessed us with beautiful dresses with flawless alterations. Everything about all of the dresses were absolutely perfect, the girls at Alexandra's were so patient with us! Always hardworking and showed great hospitality! I will definitely be coming back to this place for all my future dress needs! Everything was absolutely stunning! Definitely reccommend this place to anyone looking for their dream wedding gown. The dresses for my wedding party were absolutely beautiful! I bought my wedding gown and bridesmaids at Alexandra's Boutique. The girls at Alexandra's always aimed to please me and my girls, they are the nicest, most caring group of girls. Customer service ranks five stars for my wedding! They were there for me every step of the way, they even went out of their way to deliver all my dresses to the location the night before. I always looked forward to my visits to Alexandra's Boutique, it was like visiting family and all my bridesmaids agree! My dress could not have fit more perfect than it did, the seamstress made it fit like a glove and added every flawless detail better than I could ever imagined.They truly turned me into Cinderella and I'm so grateful! I am a recently married bride. I can't even begin to thank these girls for all their amazing talents and services provided to my LARGE wedding party. It felt like I was a part of their family everytime I stepped into the door. They always had smiles on their faces and were ready to assist me with whatever I needed. The boutique had the best deals in town and the quality of service was superb! Fatima, the owner, makes each bride feel like they were a number one priority when it came to the dress fittings. Every girl in my wedding party had their dress fit perfectly, my dress was picture perfect. I also had Fatima create a custom bow for my flowergirl, can I just say that is was over the top. I want to thank all of the girls for an amazing bridal dresss experience. It was always a pleasure to come into the store, even from the first day when I found my amazing dress. I came to the store as my last shopping trip, from a friends recommendation. I had been to nearly a dozen dress shops, some were even very high end designers in Boston. But no other store had the warmth, humor and inviting feel that Alexandra's did. That trip, you made me and my bridesmaids feel at home, giving us as much time and space as we needed and even serving us wine, cheese and fruit. It was one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences of my whole wedding planning process. And every time I came back, it was always a pleasure. A warning to ALL brides - avoid doing business with Alexandra's - don't even walk in the door. I found my dream dress there, but couldn't afford it. The owner, Fatima, offered to reduce the price if I bought the dirty sample dress and gave my deposit that day! Fortunately, I was able to order the gown at a more reputable boutique that gave me a reasonable price. But the story continues ... Somehow (and I truly don't know how), Fatima found out I bought my dress elsewhere and I received a call from her 3 days ago. I am still horrified by the conversation that ensued.
