Every visit was short and I had to repeat the reason I was there each time. She had no recollection of my history and evidently did not review the chart before entering the room. She interrrupted me constantly. I was unemployed and when I told her I had to discontinue PT because of financial reasons, she said ""you need to give up something else"". Like food or transportation? After a medial nerve block, she then ordered a MRI (even though, before the nerve block, the attending physician in the room asked her twice if they should MRI first)., When the nerve block did not work, she threw up her hands, literally, and said, after four or five visits, she would just go with my suggestion that perhaps the pain was from grinding my teeth at night. That was it...an expensive procedure, an MRI, and a cavalier attitude. \r

I expected better from Emory. I had a marvelous experience at Emorys Wesly Woods pain clinic for my back but Dr. Baumann was a nightmare. Not empathetic, not invested in determining the diagnosis, and ordering expensive treatments/procedures without explaining or stating any game plan or long-term pain improvement strategy.
Cons: Did not listen, no plan for treatment, random, expensive treatments
