The food is fresh and good. Delivery driver gave me 5 flyers for other restaurants. Looks like they hire out delivery LA Bite style, which explains why food arrived lukewarm (pretty much cold) and why it took so long. more

Best Sushi on Ventura Boulevard! 4/20/2012

Delicious sushi, a little pricey, but very good quality and nice selection of rolls and specials. Nice to have a sushi option that delivers more

One of the best sushi deliveries my wife and I have ever had (and we've tried a few.) The fish tasted fresh and clean and the special rolls (particularly the Lobster Roll and the Mango Crab Roll) were tasty and inventive. more

Best Sushi in book! 3/29/2011

Okay, I am hooked on Ahi Sushi. These guys are the standard for Sushi in my neighborhood. Everything is really fresh and I have never had a bad dish. Lobster rolls are addicting and the tuna is always the best. more

Absolute BEST Chicken Teriyaki! 2/21/2010

My family and friends are all into sushi and I am not, so I'm very familiar with Chicken Teriyaki. I love everything about their dish here. The dinner comes with Miso Soup and a garden salad with the most unique tasty dressing ever! I've even ordered the dressing to take home it's so good. The chicken is always perfect and if you dip the vegetables in the teriyaki sauce... YUM!! more

bad service 1/28/2010

Before the service was outstanding .....but just recently the service started to be really bad ...the waitress don't smile like before ......the food is great but service u want to be pampered when you eat at a restuarant that is costly.......i wont recommend it just yet until the service gets better.......over all it could be better ......if they service should be with a smile and that u need to check on ur guest ........also, they prices are really high for small portions....make sure u bring about $40 Cons: bad service more

ANOTHER ONE OF MY FAVE SUSHI SPOTS IN THE VALLEY 10/8/2009

ITS A SMALL CUTE INTIMATE SPOT WHERE YOU CAN CHOSE TO SIT OUTSIDE IN THE PATIO ASWELL. ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SUSHI SPOTS. THE SUSHI IS ALWAYS SOO DELICIOUS AND THE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. THEY SEAT YOU RIGHT AWAY, AND THEY ARE NEVER OVER CROWDED. THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE AND THE FOOD IS PERFECT. CHECK IT OUT! I GO ATLEAST ONCE A WEEK Pros: GREAT SUSHI, GREAT SERVICE, FREE PARKING. CUTE PLACE more

make sure you get the tuna tartar! 12/17/2008

Although I grew up around the area, I was always hesitant to go to Ahi because it just looked cheap and ugly from the outside. A friend convinced me to go and to make sure to get the tuna tartar...and I've been hooked ever since. I go every week now ALWAYS getting the tuna tartar with the crispy rice. It is like an orgsm in your mouth. Everything else is comparable to Iroha down the street...nothing else really stands out as being bad... everything is actually quite delicious. The prices aren't that bad....The most I've ever spent is $40...which is pretty much on the low average for decent sushi. People do dress up but I've been there plenty of times in torn jeans and flip flops and gotten treated fine. Definitely worth the trip more

BIG PRICES, TINY PORTIONS 10/27/2008

I've been here 3 times, the first two time I wasn't impressed but it was ""whatever."" Last night I left extremely unsatisfied, knowing I personally, will never go there again. Their prices were noticeably higher than a lot of other places which would have been fine if the food was worth it but it wasn't. The portions were ridiculous and the taste didn't even make up for it. The spicy tuna in the spicy tuna salad could be perfectly described as ""tasteless mush."" The second time I went the service was terrible, at one point I had to get up to go get a server and ask for something which they of course, forgot about. Before that I had been waving and trying to get someone's attention and while it seemed all the patrons noticed me, no one working there did. Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Best on the Boulevard 9/23/2008

I was born and raised in Studio City, and have tried EVERY sushi bar up and down Ventura. When I go to another Sushi bar, Ahi is the benchmark to which I compare it. It's a known fact amongst the locals that Ahi is the best, particularly when Jimmy is preparing your food. While it is slightly more expensive than other options, the quality is evident; you get what you pay for at Ahi. All in all, I'd rather eat here than Asanebo or any of the other alternatives...highly recommended more

Great food! 9/16/2008

I went here last weekend and really enjoyed the food. Some good stuff I had was the tuna tar tar, a chunk of tuna with chips stuck into it, the sashimi was amazing, and great sake. The service was also very good. Cons: expensive more

Has become our fallback place 9/12/2008

We recently moved to the valley and have been trying various sushi places in hopes in finding a good one, I think we may be done looking. Great sushi and sashimi (there is a Chef special sashimi every night --4 pieces per person, so good). Price is great, atmosphere is very casual. Everyone is quite friendly. Sit at the bar, the Chef's know their stuff and we often ask fro them to ""surprise"" us. Pros: Great food, Very reasonable pricing compared to others Cons: waiting......LOL more

Best Sushi Ever!!! Long time Customers 8/2/2008

My husband and I discovered this place about 3 years ago, by searching CitySearch. From the outside, you wouldn't think much, but once we stepped inside and tried some of Ahi's Sushi, it was a whole other world. This sushi is the most fresh, and the the best tasting sushi we have ever had. Every time, it never, ever disapoints. We live in South Pasadena and make the trek to Studio City for their amazing sushi. Nothing compares. In fact, when we go other places, we wonder why we just didn't go to Ahi, because they are SO much better!!! I actually used to work at a sushi place, so I know what I'm talking about. Pros: AMAZING, mouthwatering Sushi. Big Patio. Cons: Service can be spotty, but well worth it for the sushi! Few inside tables, would recommend reservations more

Editorial review from GrubHub 4/25/2008

I went a little nuts here and ordered tons of specialty rolls. They have some great unique rolls which is perfect for California. Crispy Rice Albacore Roll, Salmon Sashimi Roll, Tempura Whitefish Roll, Toro Roll Kaliata Roll, and the Baked Chilean Sea Bass Roll were all phenomenal. Great delivery. more
