Chef Jimmy is the best 2/22/2007

I've been eating at Ahi Sushi since Jimmy opened about 5 or 6 years ago- way before we had to make reservations? This is by far the best sushi place in town and I am a Sushi snob and a fellow Asian. Not only do Jimmy's creations melt in the mouth but he has created a peaceful, mellifluous and serene environment. Must try the Lobster Rolls I have friends who are so so to sushi and just fell in love with - also try the daily recommended tasty dishes they offer, there's always something different. Pros: Excellent quality foods and wonderful staff Cons: parking (share with Twains Diner) more

Excellent Food 10/30/2006

The friendly sushi chefs make up for the neglectful servers so eat at the sushi bar. The fish tastes fresh and tasty. Try one of their delicious lobster specials and you won't regret it. Great Food Good Atmosphere 10/18/2006

The sushi at Ahi was fantastic, the prices were very reasonable, and the food came out quick. If your looking for cocktails and sushi this spot only has sake, beer, and wine. The atmosphere is not unbelievable but it is quaint and nice. A nice place to go for a nice evening with great sushi! Pros: Food, Prices, small parking lot in back Cons: No cocktails and outdoor seating is loud near Ventura more

Brilliant! 5/15/2005

The restaurant is serene and comfortable, the staff is so friendly and the sushi chef's are outstanding. Pair this with the unbelievably fresh and innovative sushi and you won't be disappointed. Every time I take someone new to Ahi they say they feel like they've never really had sushi until they taste Jimmy's creations! Since Elmer Dill's glowing review, it's getting crowded but that's just another testiment to how great Ahi is! Pros: Super-fresh fish, Excellent Service, Great Ambience Cons: Can't think of any! more

Jimmies the best 5/4/2005

Everytime I eat here I don't want to leave the dishes Jimmie creates and the quality are incredible. If you love Sushi you should try this place. Parking is good atmosphere is wonderful. more

Fresh fish & delightful ideas 7/31/2004

Sushi chef Jimmy is the best. Sit at the sushi bar if possible. He treats you like gold and he actually does remember you even if you only frequent his joint 2-3 times a year. Fish & service always fresh and welcoming. The times that we've been there, we've had loads of fun, not only with Chef Jimmy but also with the patrons beside us. Keep up the good work Jimmy.
