Adler, D.P.M. the Director & President of Adler Footcare of Greater New York (Offices in Midtown Manhattan and White Plains) is one of only 12 Professors of Minimally Invasive Foot Surgery in the World; as designated by the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgeons . Dr. Adler is Double Board Certified in both Foot Surgery and Podiatric Medicine by the American Boards of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. He has lectured and taught minimally invasive procedures to Doctors Worldwide (that includes being part of a U.S. State Department sponsored mission to Mainland China in 1982). While in China, Dr. Adler was part of a team of foot surgeons who performed the first foot surgery by an American Doctor in China since before World War II. Dr. Adler began learning about podiatry long before his formal education at the NY College of Podiatric Medicine. From the age of 16, Dr. Adler served an informal apprenticeship with his father, Dr. Merwin S. Adler, D.P.M., an innovator of minimally invasive foot surgery and a prime mover in the advancement of ambulatory foot surgery (surgery that allows the patient ambulation, normal walking, immediately after the procedure). Along with his other extensive time spent studying with minimally invasive foot surgeons, throughout the USA, Dr. Adler served a preceptorship with Dr. Milton Roven, a pioneer in minimal incision surgery and the author on one of the first books on this form of foot surgery. In keeping with Dr. Adler’s philosophy of employing the most advanced, effective medical technology at Adler Footcare of Great New York, he is presently one of the few practitioners to treat pain with the cold laser and one of a handful of practitioners utilizing minimally invasive surgical techniques in the Tri-State area. Dr. Adler is a published author as well as a frequent lecturer. He has appeared on many television shows discussing podiatry, most notably The Morning Show with Regis Philbin.
