I decided to take up the 1-star Michelin establishment under chef Missy Robbins at Columbus circle, partly to check out what Per Se diners are treated to ? the same stunning views of Central Park! Alongside signature pasta creations, the brunch menu also had classic egg dishes, of which our table of 4 all ordered. We started off with the Affertati Misti platter, which includes a selection of cured artisanal meats like Prosciutto di Parma, Bresaola,Coppa, Spicy Salumi and Sweet Soppressata. They were perfect complements to the thick grilled bread glazed with olive oil. Equally outstanding was the complimentary ricotta dip starter that is perfectly seasoned with sea salt, chiles, herbs and olive oil. It almost tasted like butter! Our egg dishes were not very substantial and would not stand on its own. I preferred the scrambled eggs with whipped mascarpone and bottarga over the poached eggs, which were over-drenched with tomatoes. Nonetheless, we were left full from all the bread and ricotta!
