Skilled hair stylist 8/14/2006

Alina did a great job evening out my ragged layers and giving me a slightly shorter, hipper cut. She also did a wonderful job brightening up my color. I would definitely recommend her! --Melinda more

UNBELIEVABLY GORGEOUS EXTENSIONS!!!!!! 8/2/2006

I got my extensions done by Alina about a month ago and they look so good it is out of control! She has a special way of doing it that the bonds are tiny and completely impossible to notice unless you actually touch the roots and can kind of feel it--my boyfriend didnt notice for two days until I told him, but he kept saying "you look so good" you get more gorgeous everyday, LOL and asking me if I did something different, he wouldnt have even known otherwise. And besides, it looks so good no one could complain :) I have the hair of my dreams---it is waist length, full, shiny, thick, and the exact same super blond color and wavy texture of my hair, a perfect match. I literally get about 20 compliments a day and can tell that I turn heads like i never did before--this is better than plastic surgery and worth every last cent! i go and get it styled every week and feel like a princess every time I eave :) It was a splurge but I know I would pay thousands of times more in Beverly Hills and that they wouldn't look nearly as good of a job, plus I dont have to deal with the traffic or nonsense. Alina is so fun to talk to and her highlights are also amazing! I am the worst when it comes to "cheating" on my stylists but I am serious, no one else will ever touch my hair. Best highlights hands down 7/30/2006

I recently went for a second time back to Alina to get my highlights done. It has been about a month and they look brand new! They are fantastic because unlike many other stylists, she puts the highlights as close to the roots as possible so you aren't having to get a touch up every month. She also did a great job cutting my hair too. Her salon is impeccable and she is very friendly. I highly recommend her if you are shopping around for someone new. She really has a good idea for styles to complement your feautures while at the same time being up to date on all of the current hair trends. Go see her! You'll be glad you did! I went to the same hairstylist for 17 years and she recently retired. I have been very happy with my change to Alina. It's hard to find someone to trust with your hair but I think she is very talented and I highly recommend her. more

I just tried Al a Mode for the first time...Alina did a fantastic job with my hair. I have the frizziest, most damaged hair ever and I never really know how to deal with it. You can tell right away that she knows what she's doing, has an aesthetic eye, and she's honest with you about what is best for your hair. It's actually the first time I didn't go home and restyle my hair before going out. The salon itself is adorable, modern, and sssoooo CLEAN. I thought the price was very conservative for a really stylish cut/color from a cool hairstylist....Thanks Alina! more

Wonderful Experience! 6/2/2006

I went to the salon based on all of the positive feedback on Citysearch. I have long, straight Asian hair and have been in search of a new stylist who can give a well-defined haircut without a lot of daily upkeep (i.e., I'm busy and do not have a lot of time to spend blowdrying my hair). Alina did such a wonderful job on my haircut! I showed her a picture of the style I wanted, and she was able to cut my hair similar to the picture while accommodating it to my hair's texture. She was friendly, sincere, and is just so talented! The salon's atmosphere was lovely as well. I will definitely be back! Pros: parking, expertise, value more

Alina ROCKS! 3/28/2006

Alina is the best stylist I've ever had! I have straight asian black hair and she always manages to make it fun and flirty! She is GREAT at cutting bangs....keeping your length (if you want it!)....and so fun to work with! I love getting my hair cut from her because she has a conversation about what YOU want and she will be honest about whether or not it will look fabulous on you! Not to mention, her salon is so cute, clean, and comfy! Go get your hair cut by Alina, I guarantee, you'll never go anywhere else! Pros: Good Parking, Great Atmosphere, Fantastic Service more

I found ALina off of the reviews here on city search. I was somewhat skeptical but figured 38 glowing reviews couldn't be wrong....they weren't. she was INCREDIBLE. My dry damaged ethnic and chemically processed hair and shiny, smooth and incredibly healthy looking. I have great new bangs that look good combed to the front and the side. And my blowout has lasted 4 days and still looks as good as it did when it was done. AND i was so late and she didn't even care and it was so comfortable and hospitable!!! she was great!!! more

I got my haircut Twice here already because Alina really knows how to treat and take care of her customers. She's really nice and knows how to cut and style your hair perfectly. The price is very resonable, it's a great value. She has a lot of experience and I would highly recommend anyone to get their hair cut here. I will keep on coming back over and over again! The BEST cut I have received in Los Angeles... 2/16/2006

I have been to many different salons all over Los Angeles, many of them very high end, and this is the first time I have left the salon feeling happy about my haircut. Alina is a talented stylist and has an eye for what suits the customer. She listened and made suggestions based on my type of hair and the look I was striving for. She succeeded! I am definitely returning and will try color and/or extensions with Alina next. more
