I believe I was there the same night as ""foodiewino"" and need to correct him or her on a few things. Fish: not only did they have tuna and cod, but salmon and halibut both flown in that morning from Alaska. I had the halibut, by the way, and it was very tasty and my server paired it with a delicious white wine which I wish I could remember because we went through two bottles and loved it. I understand it's Santa Monica, but you don't want fish that was caught off the pier, do you? As for the wine list, my friends and I were a bit put off by it because it seemed rather pretentious for a casual/tapas restaurant. And when I asked by server about the list I was told that they weren't very familiar with the list and hadn't had the opportunity to taste any of them or learn about them, but that this situation was being remedied now that there was a new manager in place who was more familiar with running a restaurant and not just building a wine list that was a bit out of touch. I don't mean to rant, but my friends and I just had such a good time at 3 that I couldn't let someone who OBVIOUSLY has a grudge to bear say things that were in bad form and all together misleading.
