Our arugula salad was poorly prepared, dressed but not tossed at the table, with a few anemic tomatoes, which were wrong for that salad anyway. I was served 4 miniscule lambchops (which they would never have served a man), maximum 2 bites each. My friend's bouillabaise had a lot of seafood but a truly inferior sauce. The dessert we were served was considerably smaller than the one we were shown on the dessert tray, and the "decaf" cappucino I ordered kept me awake all night. On the other hand, our busboy was wonderful. I would warn any friend off of Dolphins. By the way, I had a Diner's Deck $10 discount card which I put on the table at the beginning of the meal. This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. It is my R & R stop after work, a great place for parties (small & large), and the garden and interior provide a very relaxing atmosphere. Dolphins has great food with excellent service. They tend to baby their customers, where you can sit and eat without being rushed provided there nit a huge wait. Food is delicious and worth the moderate pricing. I had the seafood linguine and couldn't finish my plate cause I was so stuffed! As the weather gets warmer, you can request for an outside table and lose your self in their garden. I've been here on prevoius dates and any girl who isn't pretenious can sit here and enjoy the food and her date. more

The restaurant and garden are lovely and special I enjoyed the paella on my first visit except that it had no olives and the food was ridiculously slow in coming. The second visit was worse-the food was cold, side dishes didn't come until much later. The check was slow in coming as well. It bothered me that it was such a disappointment is this beautiful setting. Needs better coordination between the kitchen and the wait staff. Pros: beautiful garden more

This is the most underrated spot in the city! The service is unaparalleled and the seafood is amazing. You won't believe the prices. The garden seating provides a romantic and relaxed atmosphere! No snotiness here. more

The best thing about this place was the chairs, which are very comfortable with good back support. Very nice decor and garden dining, I had sauted soft shell crabs, good, one person had whole red snapper, good, another paella -- not good. While maybe not out of the box it was too oily and had a slightly off tast which I couldn't quite put my finger on. The service started out fine, lapsed for a while but recovered at the end. I was looking for a substitue for the always one hour wait Blue Water Grill and Dolphins was def. a great find... While I won't say it's better than Blue Water, it def. had a great selection on the menu along with a great wine list and daily specials. The service was really great--well informed and really sweet... Sitting in the garden (that makes you feel like you're not in the city anymore) with just candlelight def. added to it...
